Who knew so much good could come from one supplement? This is a "must-have" amino acid for anyone with anxiety or stress. I've reached a new level of calm – and I mean calm, not sedated; there's a distinction. While medications like SSRIs and benzodiazepines work, they tend to numb the issue instead of addressing it. Taking Taurine at a dose of 2-3g daily has significantly improved my mood and made me feel less "alone or depressed". It takes a few days for it to fully take effect on anxiety, and a couple of weeks for depression, but it’s worth trying.

Participants were divided into two groups, receiving either 5 grams of glutamine three times a day or a placebo. We aimed to track significant improvements in IBS symptoms, particularly looking for a reduction of at least 50 points on the Irritable Bowel Syndrome Severity Scoring System (IBS-SS).

Remarkably, we found that an impressive 79.6% of patients taking glutamine met this primary endpoint, compared to just 5.8% in the placebo group—which is a 14-fold difference! Alongside this, glutamine also positively impacted secondary outcomes like daily bowel movement frequency, stool consistency, and even normalized intestinal permeability.

The results suggest that oral dietary glutamine appears to be a safe and effective option for relieving IBS symptoms related to intestinal hyperpermeability following an infection. While the findings are promising, we recommend further large-scale trials to verify these benefits and explore underlying mechanisms.

While HSP70 also showed a decline, its levels remained steady after the initial reduction. Notably, patients starting with high HSP27 levels tended to experience normalization in various metabolites tied to essential metabolic pathways related to carbohydrates, amino acids, and vitamins.

Our findings suggest that L-glutamine can effectively lower certain HSP levels and normalize metabolite concentrations, potentially offering a new avenue for managing AF. This insight opens the door for future research into L-glutamine as a means to enhance heart health and mitigate AF episodes.

I take it with meals, even though it says not to. When taken on an empty stomach, I become bloated and tired but it doesn't help me sleep like many claim. It calms me down and makes me feel relaxed, but I'm not necessarily sleepy on an empty stomach. It helps me digest food better. I will buy it again.

Notable improvement in my dog's congestive heart failure symptoms! Our elderly dog has lived with CHF for the past two years. Diuretics were effective for about a year, but her condition deteriorated. After conducting research, we believed her grain-free diet might be an issue, so we added this supplement. Just over 10 days after introducing Taurine, her hacking coughs have considerably lessened, and her breathing has improved. We continue with her current grain-free diet due to her allergies.

I prefer this Glutamine over other brands. It helped me during a severe bout of covid. I took it before, during, and after, preventing symptoms like fever and body aches. I consistently found it alleviates unpleasant effects of any common cold. It also helps my stomach cope with the numerous medications required for colds. I take 2 capsules twice daily with meals, never on an empty stomach.

A must if you suffer from an MSG allergy. Definitely buy this if you're sensitive to MSG. It works best if taken before consuming MSG, such as at a restaurant. My husband suffers debilitating headaches and brain fog from MSG, and this has been a lifesaver. I can't prescribe dosages, but he weighs 240 lbs and takes 2 pills beforehand. If he notices a headache after eating, he takes another. It significantly improves his quality of life, and it also works post-MSG consumption, but not as effectively.

Taurine may have caused heart and kidney problems for me. After taking just a dose, I experienced pain in my lower back, alarming me about possible kidney stones, given my history of passing a significant one that caused me severe distress. I researched and found potential links between Taurine and kidney issues, leading me to stop taking it. Thankfully, the pain has subsided. I've started drinking Chanca Piedra tea as a precaution against forming stones. I like "Now" products, but caution is needed if you have existing kidney or heart problems. Always consult your doctor when considering supplements.
