No more hot flashes

No more hot flashes! I began experiencing hot flashes the night before my 49th birthday. After some experimentation, I'm pleased to report that for 1-2 months now, they have disappeared! I take two capsules at night, biting a hole in them before swallowing as I find the taste agreeable. Initially, I tried a higher dose of evening primrose during the day, but it gave me headaches. This Omega Woman blend is the solution! A few months later, I started having hot flashes again, but I found Estroven, which worked wonders within a week! I'm finally sleeping well with no more hot flashes.

We observed that omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA and DHA, could be beneficial for patients struggling with acne. Over 16 weeks, 60 participants followed a Mediterranean diet and received algae-derived omega-3 supplements.

We found that most patients initially had low omega-3 levels, but these rose significantly during the study. Acne severity showed notable improvement, especially in those achieving optimal omega-3 levels. Though four patients reported worsened appearance, overall quality of life improved for the majority.

We explored the impact of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), particularly omega-3s, on anxiety and depression in over 102,000 participants from the UK Biobank.

The study revealed that higher levels of omega-3 PUFAs were linked to lower risks of developing anxiety and depressive disorders, alongside improvement in adverse psychological symptoms.

Additionally, the research highlighted significant associations between these fatty acids and brain white matter structure, providing valuable insights into how omega-3s might support mental wellness.

Works brilliantly for extreme PMS. I started using this alongside magnesium for PMS-related depression and anxiety. After a month, I hardly noticed my period approaching. Previously, I endured emotional breakdowns and severe cramps for two weeks beforehand, but now it feels like a complete turnaround. I did my research to check if this is right for me, and I can confidently say I made the right choice.

We investigated the link between omega-3 fatty acids and the timing of menopause. Using a Mendelian randomization approach, we analyzed data from thousands of women to assess how different fatty acids influenced reproductive longevity—specifically, the age at menopause.

Our findings revealed that higher plasma levels of DHA, a type of omega-3, were associated with a delayed onset of menopause. This suggests that increasing DHA could be a potential strategy for extending women's reproductive lifespan.

We aimed to see how omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil could ease nausea and other symptoms in patients with advanced lung cancer suffering from Systemic Immune-Metabolic Syndrome (SIMS). The study involved a small group of patients divided into treatment groups, some receiving fish oil and others a combination of fish oil with celecoxib.

After six weeks, we noted improvements in appetite, fatigue, and lower inflammation markers in both fish oil groups. Interestingly, those who received fish oil alongside celecoxib showed even greater benefits in weight gain and muscle strength. These findings suggest that fish oil may help manage certain symptoms associated with nausea but not specifically reduce it alone.

Great little pills that don’t smell or taste like fish oil but lemon instead. They’re small, not the large horse pills usually seen. The smell is refreshing, and I highly recommend them. I feel better every day after taking them in the morning; they haven’t caused me any nausea or stomach upset.

We investigated the role of resolvin D1 (RvD1) in protecting esophageal epithelial cells from damage caused by acid reflux. Through exposure tests, we found that RvD1 could effectively block oxidative stress and DNA damage linked to acid exposure.

Notably, RvD1 not only reduced harmful reactive oxygen species but also enhanced the cell's ability to repair DNA damage, signaling a promising potential for treatment in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. However, we need more studies to confirm its benefits in clinical settings.

We embarked on a study to find out how dietary eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) could help children suffering from atopic dermatitis, a common form of eczema. In a randomized triple-blind clinical trial, 48 children with this condition were divided into two groups—one received 250 mg of EPA twice daily, while the other received a placebo for four weeks.

Our observations showed noticeable improvements in those who took EPA. After just two weeks, participants in the EPA group reported a reduction in their SCORAD scores, which are used to measure the severity of atopic dermatitis. The scores went down significantly compared to the placebo group. After four weeks, the number of children needing corticosteroids to manage their symptoms was also lower in the EPA group.

Despite these positive results, both groups reported few adverse effects, indicating that EPA supplementation is generally well-received. Overall, we conclude that adding EPA to the diet may be an effective and safe strategy for reducing eczema severity in children.

I use Evening Primrose Oil for my eczema, despite its known benefits for PMS and menopause. After trying various creams with little success, I gave this a go, and my eczema cleared up in about a month. When I tried to reduce my intake, the eczema returned, so I take it daily now.

We explored the effectiveness of eicosapentaenoic acid, a type of omega-3 fatty acid, on insomnia among junior hospital nurses in a well-structured trial. In this study, 80 nurses were randomly assigned to receive either 1200 mg of eicosapentaenoic acid along with 600 mg of docosahexaenoic acid daily or a placebo for 13 weeks.

Our main focus was to see how these supplements influenced insomnia and overall mental health. While we noted some improvements in various measures, including insomnia severity at the 13-week mark, the results didn't demonstrate a significant advantage when compared to the placebo group.

After analyzing data at multiple checkpoints—13, 26, and 52 weeks—we found that the effects of eicosapentaenoic acid on insomnia were not strong enough to conclude it as a beneficial treatment. Overall, while there were some positive indicators at certain times, the overall impact on insomnia was not substantial, leaving us to conclude that more research is needed to confirm any real benefits from omega-3 fatty acids for sleep disturbances.
