After inoculating the pigs with F4-ETEC to simulate infection, we observed significant changes in the pigs’ fecal microbiome when they were given a combination of Lactobacillus and Saccharomyces products. These changes in the microbiome were previously linked to better growth performance and overall health in young pigs.
Interestingly, the pigs receiving both Lactobacillus acidophilus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae products showed an increase in final live weight. This suggests that using these postbiotics could help manage performance issues associated with ETEC without needing to eliminate the bacteria entirely from the pigs' environment. Therefore, while Lactobacillus acidophilus was not the sole hero in this study, its combined use proved beneficial in combatting the negative effects of this bacterial challenge.

After contracting COVID in January, I took NAC daily alongside other medications. My lung damage was minor, and studies indicate that NAC can significantly control moderate COVID-associated pneumonia, improving blood oxygen levels and reducing hospital stays for those on NAC. Before taking NAC daily, I frequently encountered chest infections after a cold. Now, either I don’t experience them or they are significantly milder. I suspect NAC helps break down thick mucus, contributing to my improvements. I take 3000mg daily, but even less might be effective. If you face similar issues, I recommend giving this a try.

This might be sensitive to discuss, but like many women, I often experience certain infections. Despite my efforts to maintain hygiene, the issue persists. Previously, I relied on yogurts for relief, but they were slow to take effect. I switched to probiotic pills to enhance my battle against yeast infections, and so far, it has worked well. In under a week, my infection seems cleared. I also noticed the eczema around my lips has become less irritated since starting this treatment. Powerful Probiotic Acidophilus Bacteria Blend. Many perceive the 21st Century brand as low-cost and ineffective, but after trying various supplements, I've found this probiotic particularly beneficial. This summer, I battled food poisoning and subsequent dysbacteriosis, experiencing severe bloating and nausea. I relied on this probiotic, and within 3-4 days, most symptoms improved significantly. I took one capsule daily on an empty stomach, alongside increased dietary fibre. This product exceeded my expectations. Additionally, a friend recovering from surgery and antibiotics found it remarkably effective as well. Many use these probiotics for yogurt making, though I haven't tried it myself. They’re stabilised, require no special storage, and are less allergenic. The capsules are a manageable size, containing 1 billion live cultures, including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

Excellent product for urinary tract infections; it helps alleviate cramps in the lower abdomen and burning during urination. It’s relatively gentle on the stomach and tastes much better than cranberry juice. I found it effective on the burning sensation and cramps; it's preferable to antibiotics. My diabetic mother also uses it with positive results. Dr. Maha Al-Nimr recommends it for pregnant women. I tend to get inflammation occasionally, but taking two pills daily truly makes a difference. This is a must-have in the refrigerator for every girl.

Now a constant travel companion, Bulardi's saccharomycetes are identical in composition to the pharmacy antidiarrheal drug Enterol. This year I took it for the first time before going on holiday; now we can’t go on a trip without it. Although we mainly use it for vomiting, its antidiarrheal activity wasn't needed (which is excellent). For adults, we take it during trips or when gastrointestinal issues begin, and it has consistently worked well. For a child experiencing vomiting, I administer it alongside sorbents (not at the same time). If vomiting occurs before the capsule has fully taken effect, I give the drug again after vomiting, and typically, normalisation happens within a day.

Saccharomycetes Bulardi are available in pharmacies, and I find them more cost-effective at Iherb than alternatives like Maxilac and Enterol. This yeast is resistant to hydrochloric acid, and when taken daily, it reaches all parts of the gastrointestinal tract. It's transient for humans and is excreted without side effects within 2–5 days after stopping intake. It acts as a local intestinal antiseptic, beneficial for diarrhoea of various origins, including bacterial and viral. Its several mechanisms of action include antimicrobial and antitoxic properties, and it also stimulates enzymatic activity in the intestines.

Super-agent! Without these drops, we might still be suffering from bacterial infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus in the intestine. Years of chronic sinus infections are finally over. My purulent sinus infections, which wouldn't resolve with surgeries and antibiotic rinses, are now gone. Works wonders! I have used this product and other olive leaf products for over a year now. It was recommended to me by my naturopathic doctor for candida and bacterial infection in the blood. Occasionally, I go to India on mission trips. Each time I visited, I would always fall ill. However, during my recent 5-week trip, I did not get sick at all. I took Olive Leaf Extract daily, one tablet in the morning and one at night.
