We investigated whether low iron levels might be a factor in chronic cough among women. In our study, twenty-two non-smoking women with chronic unexplained cough and iron deficiency received iron supplementation for two months after initial treatments showed no improvement.
Remarkably, we found that iron therapy led to a significant reduction in cough severity and improved airway sensitivity. This suggests that checking for iron deficiency in women with chronic cough could be beneficial, as replenishing iron may help alleviate their symptoms.

It works for chronic cough. I'm 45 and take 2000mg vitamin C and 1000mg vitamin B5 twice daily for my skin and to strengthen my immune system, along with a multivitamin in the morning. When I experience a chronic cough and burning throat, I take 2000mg to 3000mg of vitamin C and 2000mg of vitamin B5 every two hours until it stops, and it always works. I hope this helps.

I usually ordered different brands of zinc picolinate, but when they became unavailable, I found this one. I bought five packs as the chelated form is highly digestible and the dosage is excellent. It effectively prevents colds—whenever I feel the onset of sore throat and runny nose, I take two tablets daily for two to three days, and I recover quickly. With Covid, it’s advised to take 50-100 mg daily.
