Probiotic supplement reduces GERD symptoms
We aimed to find out how a food supplement containing probiotics, peptides, and vitamins impacts individuals with mild-to-moderate gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In a thorough study, 56 participants were divided into two groups; one received the active supplement while the other got a placebo for 28 days.

The results were promising, showing a notable decrease in heartburn frequency and severity for those on the supplement. Additionally, they reported taking fewer over-the-counter medications, and their quality of life improved compared to the placebo group. This suggests that dietary supplements might offer a beneficial alternative for managing GERD symptoms.

We explored the effects of Lactobacillus species on bile-induced DNA damage in esophageal cells, which occurs during gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). By exposing these bacteria to a bile-rich environment, we found they could survive and interact beneficially with injured cells.

Notably, adding Lactobacillus after bile injury boosted the repair of DNA damage and lessened inflammation. This suggests that these probiotics could play a role in protecting against long-term complications of GERD, like Barrett's esophagus and esophageal cancer.

Lactobacillus acidophilus shows minimal effect
We investigated whether the probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus could help infants with primary vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). In this study, 128 infants were split into two groups: one received probiotics while the other received antibiotics.

While the probiotic group experienced slightly fewer UTIs compared to the antibiotic group, the results were not statistically significant. Overall, both groups had similar outcomes for UTI causes, resolution of VUR, and renal scarring. However, probiotic treatment showed a reduced rate of antibiotic resistance among the infections.

Prevents stomachaches

I used to have severe stomachaches two to three times weekly. After starting these, I cancelled my doctor’s appointment as I hadn’t experienced pain in weeks. I had become resistant to all GERD medications. Since using this product, I’ve managed to stop taking those meds for years, but my acid reflux returns quickly if I run out. They are more affordable than my previous prescriptions, so I will continue using them.

No stomachaches

Helped with frequent stomachaches and acid reflux. I was experiencing severe stomachaches 2-3 times weekly. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled but started taking these in the meantime. A month later, I realised I hadn’t had a stomachache in weeks and cancelled my appointment. I was on multiple GERD medications but became immune to them. Once I started these probiotics, I experimented with stopping the GERD meds. Now, I haven’t taken them in years! If I run out of these, my acid reflux returns immediately. I wonder if they are intended for long-term daily use, but they are cheaper than my previous prescriptions, so I’ll keep taking them.

Causes reflux
Unfortunately, this product caused reflux for me. I bought two bottles, but it was a waste of money as I cannot use it. I’ll have to purchase a different one from the chemist.

Mood improvement
The composition could be improved as I find the ingredients are full of unnecessary additives. I resort to them only when I have no other options. Probiotics are essential in my treatment for reflux and intestinal health. They significantly ease my symptoms, relieve constipation, and enhance my mood.
