We investigated how a rumen-protected folic acid (RPFA) supplement affects the health and performance of beef steers. This study used a randomized design with 180 Angus-crossbred steers divided into different treatment groups.

Although we observed that RPFA increased plasma folate levels and improved certain growth metrics, the findings on liver abscesses were less pronounced. The percentage of livers without abscesses showed a tendency to improve with lower RPFA doses, but no significant benefits overall were found.

It's essential to note that vitamin B12 levels were low across all treatments, which might have influenced the outcomes related to RPFA effectiveness.

Cyst resolved
The doctor informed me that the cyst might be linked to a folate deficiency, so I took it alongside Omega 3 to manage the issue. Thankfully, the cyst has disappeared. The ingredients are of good quality, and the quantity provided is ample enough to last for months.

Cyst grew
Unfortunately, it did not suit me. While taking it, I experienced a sensation of ovarian enlargement, and my cyst slightly increased in size. I stopped using it, and the discomfort quickly subsided.
