Silymarin reduces obesity effects
We explored how silymarin helps with obesity and muscle atrophy in mice. In our study, we divided the mice into three groups: a control group on a normal diet, another group on a high-fat diet, and a third group receiving silymarin alongside the high-fat diet.

The results showed that the silymarin group had less weight gain and maintained better muscle mass compared to the high-fat diet group. Moreover, the grip strength of the mice on silymarin improved. Overall, silymarin seems beneficial for not only tackling obesity but also preserving muscle health.

Milk thistle seeds show effectiveness
Our investigation focused on how dietary milk thistle seeds and seed oil impact obesity-related intestinal, liver, and lipid issues, specifically in genetically obese rats. After five weeks, we found that rats supplemented with milk thistle seeds showed more significant improvements in liver fat and cholesterol levels compared to those receiving seed oil.

Notably, the seed group experienced better outcomes in their cecal short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) levels, indicating enhanced gut fermentation. Overall, milk thistle seeds appear to be more effective than oil in tackling obesity-related health challenges in these rats.

Milk thistle extract may aid obesity
We explored the potential of a silymarin-enriched extract from milk thistle to aid in managing obesity and related inflammation. This study tested the extract's effect on activating thermogenesis in a model of obesity induced by a high-fat diet.

Our findings suggest that the extract helps enhance the body's ability to burn fat, which may be beneficial in preventing metabolic diseases and promoting healthy aging. However, the effectiveness of this treatment as a solution for obesity warrants further investigation.

Silybum marianum shows potential benefits
We examined a new oral supplement that combines prebiotics, yeast β-glucans, minerals, and Silybum marianum to see how it impacts obesity. Using a controlled study with mice, we found that this combination significantly improved energy balance and reduced inflammation.

After 28 days of treatment, mice on a high-fat diet showed lower blood sugar and fat levels, along with reduced liver damage indicators. While these findings are promising, it's essential to continue research to confirm these effects in humans.

MTO improves obesity-related health
We investigated how milk thistle cold press oil (MTO) influences obesity and related health problems. In a study with mice on a high-fat diet, MTO was given for the last eight weeks. We found that MTO effectively reduced obesity, high blood sugar, and hypertension, while promoting healthier fat cell functions.

Additionally, MTO helped lower inflammation in both fat and liver tissues, and improved liver health as well. These positive outcomes suggest that MTO may be a valuable addition to the diets of those dealing with obesity and its complications.
