Read More...I have suffered from Cold Sores my entire life (that I can recall). I am 45 years old and have been taking L-Lysine for roughly 10 years now. It works. If I catch a cold sore early, it doesn't come out if I take L-Lysine. When I feel the tingle I start to take 2 of these pills in the morning, one in the afternoon and 2 more in the evening before sleeping. I do this for the whole time I feel the tingle and 2 days after it stops. It takes longer if I miss the tingle and they start to come out in which case I do this until the sores are completely gone ( 2 days). That said, THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT!! Over the last 10 years I have taken dozens of brands of L-Lysine. Most are giant and no coating on them. Making them hard to swallow, or on a few occasions get stuck and I freak out. These have a coating on them, like other medications, to help them go down easier. YES they are huge, I have yet to find one on the market that isnt huge (sadly). BUT like I said, these have a nice coating on them so they go down easier than any others I have tried. The price is right, I get a bunch in one bottle which lasts a long time and most important, they work! That said, TMI time, they do cause some constipation, so be sure to drink lots of water with them. Hope this helps someone out. I have told everyone I can about these since I found them. No reason to still get cold sores when you can take these
Read More...I started taking this because I heard that it's good for canker sores and cold sores. I had been having recurring canker sores and also thrush infections for about two years. I was plagued by one or the other of these almost constantly for months when I finally tried this product once a day in April 2014. I have not experienced a canker sore or thrush once since then. Read More...Haven't had a cold-sore, fever blister, herpes zoster type C since I started taking this daily as a prophylactic. I wish I had known about L-Lysine 40 years ago; it would have saved a lot of days suffering with the pain and embarrassment of open, split cold-sores. For those of you who may not know, common cold-sores, fever-blisters, or whatever you may call them, are transmittable well before they should erupt and can be confused with genital herpes. So, if you do not use a product such as this, or suspect a cancre is about to erupt, keep your lips to yourself!!
Read More...Absolutely love the Lysine tablets. I haven't gotten a cold sore since I began using them. Drinking liquor makes me get cold sores, therefore I had to control how much I drink and not drink days in a row. But with Lysine, I just take the tablet when I know I'm going to have drinks and no cold sore what so ever. If I ever do get one, I increase my dosage to 4,000 mg and the cold sore comes out tiny (if at all) and is gone within days (instead of weeks like before). Absolutely recommend this product to everyone who suffers with cold sores. I've had them since I was a teenager and I'm now in my 40's. Wish I would of known about this products back then. Doctor's never told me about it
Read More...I bought this originally for my teenage son who had mono, it helped a ton, and he was over it quite quickly. I continue to give it to him as it is helping to clear up his acne when nothing else has worked. After reading that it helps to keep you from getting sick, I began taking it. While everyone around me has been getting sick all cold and flu season, I've been 100% illness free. I take one of these 2x a day, and I up it to 3x a day when I'm in close proximity to anyone sick, and haven't had so much as a sniffle. In fact, it has even cleared up my allergies that I usually always have lingering. It does make you go to the bathroom a bit more, but it definitely doesn't give you diarrhea or anything urgent.
