Inulin reduces neonatal diarrhea incidence
Dietary Inulin Regulated Gut Microbiota and Improved Neonatal Health in a Pregnant Sow Model.
Directly impacts piglet diarrhea
We explored the effect of inulin, a type of dietary fiber, on the health of piglets born to sows during pregnancy. In our study, multiparous sows were divided into two groups. One group received a diet without inulin, while the other group was fed a diet containing 1.6% inulin.

We observed that the inclusion of inulin in the diet significantly reduced the incidences of diarrhea in piglets. Specifically, the sows that consumed inulin had lower levels of urea nitrogen in their colostrum, which correlated with better health outcomes for their piglets. This led to increased survival rates and overall growth of the piglets, providing encouraging evidence that inulin can play an important role in enhancing neonatal health.

Overall, our findings suggest that maternal dietary fiber, particularly inulin, not only supports the health of the sows but also positively influences the wellbeing of their offspring, notably in reducing the risk of diarrhea in newborn piglets.

LRa05 effective for diarrhea in children
LRa05 in the treatment of acute diarrhea in children: a randomized controlled trial.
High relevance due to significant findings
We examined the effectiveness of LRa05, a probiotic, in treating acute watery diarrhea in children. In a randomized controlled trial, 57 children received LRa05 while 54 received a placebo. Our findings showed that those who took LRa05 had shorter diarrhea durations and improved fecal consistency compared to the control group. Additionally, LRa05 improved gut microbiome composition and boosted levels of beneficial gut proteins. Overall, using LRa05 can be a helpful addition to managing diarrhea in young children.

Probiotics reduce antibiotic-related diarrhea
A Multi-Hospital Comparative Study on the Efficacy of Probiotics Versus Placebo in Preventing Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea in Adult Patients.
Study supports probiotic use
We conducted a multi-hospital study to tackle the common issue of antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). By comparing probiotics, specifically Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Bifidobacterium longum BB536, with a placebo among 340 adult patients, we aimed to find out if these friendly bacteria could help.

Our findings revealed that probiotics significantly lowered both the incidence and duration of AAD compared to the placebo group. Patients reported positive outcomes, indicating high adherence to the treatment as well.

Quick improvement
One of the best probiotics 😲❤️ Summer brings vacations, street food and fruits, leading to frequent instances of poisoning and diarrhoea 🥲 I want to share this effective product that significantly restores microflora and halts diarrhoea. The capsules are conveniently sized, and you can open them to take with water. They serve well as a dietary supplement. The packaging is attractive, and I appreciate the quick improvement I noticed within 24 hours.

Exploring inulin's protective effects
Probiotic/prebiotic correction for adverse effects of iron fortification on intestinal resistance to Salmonella infection in weaning mice.
Addressing iron fortification risks
We explored the impact of inulin on gut health, particularly its ability to combat diarrhea linked to iron fortification. In a study involving weaning mice, the introduction of iron through ferrous sulfate increased the diversity of gut bacteria but also led to a decline in beneficial bacteria, like Lactobacillus.

Notably, we observed that mice receiving a high dose of iron experienced heightened symptoms when infected with the pathogen Salmonella. These symptoms included significant weight and appetite loss, and decreased survival rates. However, when we supplemented the mice with inulin before exposure to the infection, these adverse effects were significantly reversed.

The research showed that inulin not only helped improve overall gut health but also alleviated the intestinal damage caused by iron fortification. This suggests that inulin could serve as a practical measure to mitigate the negative impacts of iron fortification on digestive health, particularly in populations vulnerable to diarrhea.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus aids diarrhea
Postbiotic Preparation of against Diarrhea and Oxidative Stress Induced by Spike Protein of SARS-CoV-2 in Human Enterocytes.
Highly relevant for treatment options
We investigated how Lactobacillus rhamnosus, specifically a postbiotic preparation known as mLGG, affects diarrhea linked to the Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. In our tests using human intestinal cells, we found that the Spike protein triggers diarrhea by increasing oxidative stress and chloride secretion.

Our findings showed that pretreating the cells with mLGG significantly reduced these harmful effects. This suggests that Lactobacillus rhamnosus can help ease diarrhea by blocking the enterotoxic impact of the Spike protein, confirming its role as an effective therapy for acute gastroenteritis.

Useful for travel
Excellent! These probiotics are high quality, containing a massive 20 billion. This is the best type I've tried. I find it beneficial to take when travelling, as variations in food can lead to constipation or diarrhoea. It’s especially useful during antibiotic use, which kills good bacteria in the digestive system. If I ever experience food poisoning, I’ll be sure to use it.

Significant improvement.
Colitis, Crohn's, antibiotics...no more fear! When a product deserves a review, I gladly take 15 minutes out of my day to write one; this one is worth 50 reviews. Back in June, I was prescribed Flagyl and Cipro, strong antibiotics known to cause Clostridium difficile, leading to severe diarrhoea. This resulted from too many antibiotics combined with my chronic Crohn's disease, which involves ongoing diarrhoea linked to my limited intestine health. After switching to Flagyl alone in August, I struggled with escalating pain and bowel movements. However, I discovered Culturelle probiotics, which surprisingly helped ease my symptoms within a few days. Recently, I began another course of antibiotics; luckily, my Crohn's symptoms remain mild, and I’m hopeful the probiotics will aid recovery. I'm looking forward to providing further updates soon.

Daily relief achieved.
Great product for any intestinal issues! Years ago, after being prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection, my good bacteria vanished, and I struggled with problems. Culturelle is now essential for me every night; if I skip it, I encounter severe issues the following day. It even alleviates my IBS. Initially, I used the regular formula but switched to Ultimate Strength, which works effectively now. I highly recommend Culturelle for anyone facing bloating, gas, or diarrhoea; it's truly effective!
