We focused on understanding the impact of vitamin D supplementation on atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema, in both children and adults. This systematic review analyzed data from eleven randomized controlled trials (RCTs), involving a total of 686 participants.
Each study compared participants receiving vitamin D to those in control groups, measuring their eczema severity using established scoring systems. The results were compelling. We found that vitamin D supplementation led to a noteworthy reduction in eczema severity compared to those who did not receive this treatment.
Specifically, the analysis indicated a standardized mean difference of -0.41, suggesting significant benefits for individuals taking vitamin D. However, it’s essential to note that while the findings are promising, larger and longer-term studies are necessary to confirm these results.

Great for acid reflux and spitting up. I was hopeful (but skeptical) that this would help my baby's acid reflux. I'm amazed at the result! Within a week, he went from soaking two burp rags with spit-up every feeding to hardly any! He no longer fusses or refuses milk during feedings. I'm incredibly thankful.

These probiotics are fantastic. My child began suffering from tummy troubles from the second week after birth. After starting these probiotics, I noticed that my baby could pass stools without any issues, and after a while, the gas and colic disappeared. I highly recommend them!

My salvation! She began introducing complementary foods at 7 months. My son had a rash, but I measured everything from the common table in micro doses. Despite my efforts, the rash did not go away until after a week of taking this product. Now, his skin is clean! The consumption is significant, as five drops each would last a maximum of two weeks.

We conducted a study to see if a fermented dairy product with Bifidobacterium lactis DN-173 010 could help reduce bloating in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and constipation. As someone knowledgeable about dietary supplements, I started giving this to my 6-month-old son, who was experiencing diarrhoea. Remarkably, the diarrhoea resolved the following day, and I appreciate that it contains Vitamin D as well. We provide this daily, and it seems to be beneficial as he tries new solid foods.

A blessing for my daughter's tummy issues. My daughter experienced constipation since switching to formula at three months. Her nutritionist suggested these probiotics, which have been tremendously helpful. At 14 months, we have significantly reduced her Miralax usage, and since starting the probiotics, we haven’t had any ER visits for impacted stools. For babies with gastrointestinal problems, consider discussing this product with your child's paediatrician or nutritionist.

Our findings revealed that the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8 were significantly elevated in cases of acute reflux esophagitis. However, when we treated these rats with Vitamin D3, we observed that the inflammation markers decreased notably in the acute cases, while there wasn’t any significant change in the chronic cases.
Despite some improvements in cytokine levels with Vitamin D3, we noted that the overall morphological damage to the esophagus remained unchanged. Interestingly, while Vitamin D3 did raise serum calcium levels, it didn’t seem to help repair esophageal damage in the longer-term chronic setting.
