Read More...I'm a vegan, and I had a bad case of anemia a few years ago. After finishing my prescription from the doctor, I began using these because of the recommendation of a friend. My iron level has been up to par since. I give blood, so I get the numbers frequently
Read More...As a vegan in a hospital with staff that had no idea what a vegan is ("There are all types of vegans. Some of them eat fish." No, there aren't.), these vitamins saved my life. The doctor had no idea of the dietary requirements of vegans, and neither did the dietary department. And, thanks to Amazon, my order got delivered straight to my hospital room

There's no reason to take betaine hcl unless you have low stomach acid and know the right dosage, however it is just a small amount (only 10 mg). Most people have an acidic enough stomach to absorb iron and B12 w/o needing extra HCL (especially people under 65), and if someone with peptic ulcer disease took this without realizing it they could be irritating. Seller should show the whole label on the pictures just to disclose all ingredients. Someone in the comments above helpfully provided it, but one shouldn't have to look in the comments to see what's in a product that you're ordering. Otherwise this supplement is very comprehensive and fairly priced. I found that I got heartburn if I took this on an empty stomach so I recommend taking it with food, esp. a protein meal bc of the betaine hcl

I went VEGEN, and although the stigma of being the token, high-maintainance weirdo in the bunch somewhat annoyed me to the point that I didn't think I could even stick with it, I do feel remarkable after 3 months and plan to carry on - and this supplement was a truly lucky find ... not sure what the "kicker" is in this stuff, but my hair and nails are growing like weeds

Read More...For what it is, a multivitamin that's okay for vegans, i give it five stars. As for the rest, as in, nobody really knows if multivitamins even do anything.... Well I'll leave that to everyone else to decide. Scientists can't prove if they work or not, but I'm on the side where even if they work a little it's worth it and these fit with the way I'm trying to eat. I see a lot of reviews that say these make people feel incredible and now they don't have to sleep as much (I have no idea but they're in the reviews) I can't say anything to that effect, I feel the same whether I take them or not, but I am in the camp that believes that if you take vitamins with food you'll get at least some benefit from it. And that being said, these are vegan so if you are, these fit the bill. But I will say if you're looking for a miracle like some of the others say, unless you want it so bad you pretend it happened, it's not gonna make you feel any different. If you feel like as a vegan maybe you're missing some essential vitamins with your diet this might do the trick. Again, nobody can prove that vitamins like this even do anything, but for me I'm such a lazy vegan I know I'm not getting all the nutrients I should be getting and even if this helps even the slightest bit with the price it's worth trying. Although that being said, I do actually 100% have faith in the vegan kelp vitamin E pills that taste like a fishes butt, and that's something most vegan are severely lacking. But it's such a different product, actually filled with kelp juice or whatever they use, maybe seaweed actually, that is something else and something everyone needs and if you had to choose between this or that, I would choose that
Read More...I've only had them a few days so can't comment yet on effectiveness, however I have not experienced the nausea another posted about due to the betaine hcl. I have a sensitive stomach, but no ulcers. Another plus for me, but something that may interact with other's regimes, is the green food blend that includes: spirulina, alfalfa, ashwaganda, Black cumin, broccoli, carrot, chamomile, chlorella, cinnamon, dandelion, ginger, parsley, rose hips, eleuthero, and spinach. I assume this blend makes up the green coating of the vitamin. It has a slight spirulina taste to it, but nothing else. Also, the calcium, zinc, magnesium, copper, and B5 are not at 100% daily levels, so if these are nutrients of concern for you, you may want to look into an additional supplements or a different daily vitamin. The B12 is also ridiculously high(1667% daily value), so I will alternate between this vitamin and others supplements. Some studies have shown excess B12 supplementation leads to acne. 4 stars for way too much B12 and not enough calcium and zinc
Read More...I love these vitamins. I am not vegan, There are soo many crappy vitamins out there. If you start looking for high quality, and food based nutrients, so start seeing vitamins you have to take 3 or 4 a Day (or more). To heck with that. This multivitimin is a nice balance of lots of vitamins and minerals and not "for him, ot her, or over 50, or whatever", which I think is marketing garbage. I give these to my kids too. I definately notice an increase in energy while regulaorly takeing these. And, they make you pee bright yellow, which means your getting lots of b-vitamins. Good stuff, I will keep buyin
