I started taking valerian root capsules for severe fatigue and insomnia. Concerned, I began with just one capsule with my evening meal, rather than the recommended four. I noticed an immediate improvement in my insomnia! I slept for eight solid hours and woke groggy but not alarmed. I hadn't experienced such good sleep in nearly 17 years! My pain and fatigue also improved, and surprisingly, my libido took a positive turn. After five weeks, the sleep benefits have diminished, yet the other benefits remain. I might increase my dosage, but I am very happy with the results thus far.
