I'm someone who easily catches a cold through my throat, but if I take a lot of this when my throat is feeling unwell, I believe it will certainly help prevent a cold. Although I am quite susceptible to colds, there are occasions when it doesn't completely stop them; however, I think it is effective when the symptoms are mild.
