Vitamin D treatment reduces abscesses
We examined how vitamin D deficiency relates to the occurrence of periapical abscesses. By analyzing hospital data, we found that patients with vitamin D deficiency had a significantly higher chance of developing these abscesses compared to those without the deficiency.

Interestingly, patients who received calciferol supplements demonstrated a marked reduction in the prevalence of abscesses. This suggests that vitamin D treatment may play a vital role in managing periapical abscesses, highlighting the importance for dentists to consider vitamin D levels in their patients.

Vitamin D deficiency affects infection severity
We investigated how vitamin D levels impact the severity of oropharyngeal infections, specifically looking at issues like abscesses that often result in surgery and longer hospital stays.

In our retrospective study, patients were divided based on vitamin D levels: deficiency (below 30 ng/mL) and optimal (30 ng/mL or higher).

Our findings revealed that those with vitamin D deficiency stayed in the hospital much longer and needed surgical treatment more often. This suggests that maintaining proper vitamin D levels may reduce the severity of these infections, emphasizing the potential benefits of vitamin D supplementation.

Restored digestive health
53 people found this helpful
This product has effectively restored my sluggish digestive issues after suffering from a lengthy bout of antibiotics following a dental abscess. Reducing my dosage caused symptoms to return, but maintaining the full dose has kept my digestion on track, with no other changes. It’s possibly the combination of magnesium, enzymes, or probiotics that has made this work so effectively. Regardless, I plan to continue taking it indefinitely.
