Completely Misleading: This Vitamin C isn't Raw, its isolated just like the other generic brands.

This is not Raw Vitamin C as they make it seem. This is an isolated version of Vitamin C (just like 97% of the synthetic Vitamin C's they sell in stores). It's just that Garden of Life adds a worthless amount (20mg) of a organic proprietary 'Fruit & Veggies' Blend to make it seem full-complex which allows them to call it 'RAW.' This is the reason Garden of Life has launched their 'mykind Organics' line which actually tells you the source of each vitamin next to it in parentheses. If your wondering how you can tell on other brands whether they're organic/raw or not, look next to the Vitamin in the 'Supplement Facts' and if doesn't tell you what fruit it comes from in parentheses, it most likely isn't organic/raw. It should look similar to this: 'Vitamin C (from berries)' What makes this even worse is that we have no idea where the isolated vitamins they put in this product come from. Most Vitamin C that is on the market today is sourced from China and a lot of it is made from GMO corn... For something that isn't Raw, they make it seem that way by putting their 'RAW' logo everywhere on the front of the bottle. This clearly isn't a brand you should put your trust in. The product is merely an isolated vitamin that can be marketed as 'better' because has a 'little' (worthless) organic touch

Best Vitamin C I have found!

Vitamin C is an amazing vitamin. Not only will high quantities of Vitamin C help the body fight colds and other illnesses, but it improves allergies. When we kept bees, we learned a mega dose of Vitamin C would eliminate the swelling associated with bee stings or prevent swelling all together if taken right away. Our bodies cannot manufacture Vitamin C. We must get it from food or supplements. From my reading about Vitamin C, we probably need much more than most people get. The government recommendations are only based on what it takes to prevent scurvy rather than what it takes to be healthy in general. These days the soil on most farms is so depleted that it is pretty much impossible to get the nutrition we need from food alone so supplements are a necessity for good health. However, not all supplements are the same. Many cheaper supplements contain synthetic vitamins our bodies cannot use. Some Vitamin C is created from mold. The best vitamins come from real food. When I supplement, I prefer my supplements to come from food rather than a laboratory. That is why I purchased the Garden of Life Vitamin Code Vitamin C, 120 Capsules. WHAT IS IN THE BOX: One bottle of Vitamin Code Raw Vitamin C contains 120 vegan capsules. Each capsule contains 500 mg whole food Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids. They advertise on Fox News?

Originally I liked this product for every reason. Then while streaming through random channels I caught an ad for vitamin code by Garden of Life and my antenna went up… vitamin Code advertising on Fox News? I have since learned the company was purchased and is now owned by Nestle. Check them out. Fox and Nestle. No trust in those companies and who thinks they wouldn't contaminate this one. I'll pick another product I won't worry about every time I swallow. it sure isn't this product.

WORKS !!!!

Diabetic Nerve Pain Relief !!! This really works in 2 tabs per day AM/PM. It simply boosts your immune system so much that diabetic nerve pain and numbness get better and eventually go away. I have used it consistantly for months and just want to help other diabetics feel better. I think the secret is in the vitamin C being RAW and unprocessed, and the dosage. Hope it does the same for you

Excited to find and receive the real Vit C

After taking Vit C for years, I just realized that most common Vit C is Ascorbic Acid and synthetic yet the government let's them call it Vitamin C. I found out after researching why I have spider veins and several articles and Dr. Videos suggested it was caused from large amounts of Ascorbic Acid! Also it suggested that users of ascorbic acid had problems with hardening of the arteries compared to those that didn't take ascorbic acid. Not great news that there should be warnings for!! Needless to say I started hunting for a better choice and found these. I just received them and was impressed with the glass bottle, box, cotton to keep protected. Not many companies offer that anymore. Disappointed in reading some people received damaged shipments. I feel that is the shippers fault and not a direct reflection on the companies product. I would also not think to rate the product lower because of a shipping problem. Human error happens! I've always contacted Amazon customer service rep when any product is damaged in shipping and they have never let me down. If you don't do that then you take the loss...its a choice! I think the capsule size is great and no problems swallowing because it's smaller than most huge vitamin C pills. I love that they suggest if you have a problem swallowing the capsule then simply pull the capsule apart and add to your favorite drink. Not sure why some didn't try that and rated them lower!? I wouldn't suggest adding them to a boiling hot liquid because it might change the chemistry. In tea or coffee just wait until it cools a bit and then gently pull the capsule apart and add. I see on the package they recommend 2 a day (which I have always taken 1000 MG daily of they synthetic stuff) but I will try 500 MG and see if it works for me. Everyone is different and if some need smaller doses and then work up to higher doses or your body will react. More than likely what happened to some that had problems. I take 1 twice a day and surprised they didn't recommend because Vit C doesn't retain in your system so taking at different times is the best way to get the best results. Also surprised it didn't suggest that not to take at the same time you take medications. Vit C can lesson the effects of medications if taken at the same time. Just like, don't take medications at the same time you eat grapefruit. Overall I'm very excited by the product and great packaging. The price seems reasonable for what you get in comparison to retail prices for ascorbic acid which have gone up dramatically over the years. Will update after taking for a prolonged use. So far no doubt why mostly very high reviews!

Proof that this stuff really works!! LOVE it!!

SO, I have a Labrador dog who was on 2 long courses of antibiotics to rid himself of a staph infection on his foot. He also stunk, and had dandruff, and scratched and licked a lot. I did some searching online and found a lady who said her dog had been helped by a raw vitamin C formula. The one she used was no longer made, but I found this on Amazon, and decided to give it a try. WELL, lo and behold, after about two weeks his sore(s) were healing, he had more energy, and after 1 month we noticed he didn't smell anymore and his dandruff was disappearing! He has now been on it for about 4 months. His sores are fully healed, he does not smell at all, his dandruff is gone, he does not scratch or lick (more than normal) and his coat is soft, smooth and shiny. I am SO impressed! I put our two other dogs on it, and now the rest of our family is on it as well. Subscribe & Save, yes!

Best quality available

My local health foods store (decade ago) gave me a copy of the book written by one of the “Garden of Life” founders, Jordan Rubin. The science behind what they've developed is sound, based on my college experiences & subsequent studies. They managed to commercialize a process, bringing to market what I consider is the highest quality line of natural supplements I've found. My local store is going out business, can't compete with online retailers. So I was grateful to find & subscribe to regular home shipments of this, the B complex, and their “50 & older men's” probiotic formulas. I take them daily. Ain't cheap, just solid value for top notch products

The best on the market!

My natural path recommended this brand to me and since I have a lot of GI issues I don't typically absorb a lot of pills in general very well. I'm missing a lot of my intestines so luckily these pills I'm able to take them and they absorb well enough into my gut that I can actually feel a difference in my overall health and well being. The fact that my nutritionist also has done a lot of research on different vitamins on the market and this is the best that she has found for herself and for all of her clients. We even use these at the office to make our juices and smoothies. Just throw a couple in and make our smoothies because you can take the contents out of the capsule and not have to consume the capsule. It is great

Be aware, this is not truly whole food C!

Shortly after starting this “whole food vitamin C” my body basically freaked out. Hives, itching, swelling, full blown histamine temper tantrum. I didn't connect the two until over a month of steroids and doctor appointments. I was looking through my Amazon orders and realized I started taking this right around the time all my trouble started. Upon digging into the reviews I saw a number of other people saying they had an allergic response. I was so confused because Vitamin C is supposed to help with overactive histamine levels. Further digging made me realize that the ingredients are incredibly deceptive! The item listed as Vitamin C is in fact YEAST! Basically what they are doing is feeding vit C to yeast and then calling it whole food C. When I learned that Nestle owns this company things made even more sense. This is not a supplement company with your well-being at its focus. Throw this yeast filled garbage out and find a true whole food C(acerola cherry, rose hips, camu camu, etc)

Vitamin C is here to pump you up!

I'm not going to get into some religious debate about real vitamin C vs ascorbic acid (do your own research!) but I'll tell you what I have noticed... First of all, I'm a pessimist when it comes to supplements and whatnot. This stuff hasn't changed my life or turned water into wine, but I have blasted through a cold that was going around in record time. My wife, her sister (a teacher - where it usually starts), and her sisters boyfriend all came down with the same thing, which means it was only a matter of time for me. This cold dogged them for at least a week, almost two. It was one of those out of action for a couple days at the peak type colds. I've been taking this steadily for a couple months now... the worst of it for me was one day, and I just felt tired. A little tired the day before, and the day after - I knew it was coming, but wow. One day, not even down hard. No sore throat, no stuff runny nose... All I can say is: past experience is that I suffer the same as everyone else through these. Dayquil by day and Nyquil by night for about a week. Wiped out and just generally feeling horrible. This time, I felt that "I'm getting sick" feeling one day, the next I was just worn out but OK (no glaring symptoms really), and the day after I was bouncing back. Hopefully the next one passes just as quickly!
