Evening primrose oil shows promise
We conducted a double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial to assess evening primrose oil's effects on psychological symptoms in postmenopausal women. Participants received either 1,000 mg of evening primrose oil or a placebo for 8 weeks.

Our findings indicated a significant reduction in psychological symptoms among those taking evening primrose oil compared to the placebo group. Specifically, the intervention group showed a notable improvement in their scores.

While promising, we recognize that further research is needed to fully validate these benefits and ensure the long-term safety of evening primrose oil in clinical practice.

Evening primrose oil benefits menopause symptoms
We investigated how evening primrose oil affects psychological symptoms in menopausal women through a triple-blind, randomized clinical trial. The study included 100 women who received either evening primrose oil or a placebo.

We found that those using evening primrose oil experienced significant reductions in psychological symptoms, as measured by the Menopause Rating Scale, while the placebo group showed no improvement.

This suggests that evening primrose oil may be beneficial in enhancing the quality of life for postmenopausal women by alleviating psychological distress.

Evening primrose oil shows no advantage
We explored the effects of evening primrose oil (EPO) and fennel on menopausal symptoms and hormone levels, using a triple-blinded method with 125 participants over 8 weeks.

While both EPO and fennel showed significant changes in hormone levels compared to a placebo, the impact on psychological menopausal symptoms was not notably different between the two groups after treatment.

In the end, neither oil proved to be more effective than the other for alleviating menopause-related issues.

Bye, bye hot flushes. I'm in peri-menopause and struggled with hot flushes and fatigue. Within 2 to 3 days of taking this product along with a magnesium supplement, I realised I hadn’t experienced a hot flush. A few days later, my energy improved and my sleep was better. Nearly finished my first bottle and I feel sharper, able to focus compared to the scatterbrained confusion associated with peri-menopause. I wished for my old life back, thinking this was just how it would be until menopause, but this product has helped restore that.

Excellent! Evening primrose oil (GLA) aids in creating anti-inflammatory prostaglandins that help reduce inflammation, combat PMS, and ease menopause symptoms. It enhances skin, hair, and nails after stress, prevents blood clots, and alleviates hot flashes and anxiety during menopause. I consider it essential for anyone experiencing these issues.

Evening primrose oil shows limited effectiveness
We explored the effects of evening primrose oil (EPO) as a treatment for menopausal hot flashes through a systematic review of various clinical trials.

While we found that EPO reduced the severity of hot flashes when taken for under six months, it did not significantly impact the frequency or duration compared to a placebo.

Some participants reported mild side effects like nausea and headaches, and EPO did not perform better than black cohosh in longer periods.

Ultimately, the evidence remains inconclusive regarding EPO's effectiveness for hot flashes, highlighting the need for further studies.
