Taurine-xylose improves constipation in rats
We investigated how taurine-xylose, a synthetic form of taurine, impacts constipation caused by loperamide in a rat model. By using different treatment groups, including a control and a standard laxative, we observed that taurine-xylose not only improved gastrointestinal movement but also enhanced antioxidant activity.

Our findings revealed that rats treated with taurine-xylose had increased fecal output and better metabolic conditions compared to those given loperamide alone. While promising, the research suggests that its effectiveness may vary based on dietary conditions and physiological factors.
We explored the potential laxative effects of taurine in a study that used a rat model experiencing constipation induced by loperamide. The rats were split into groups, some receiving varying doses of taurine.

After treatment, we saw a notable increase in fecal pellet production and water content among the taurine group, indicating improved bowel movements. Additionally, taurine appeared to enhance gastrointestinal motility, making it a promising candidate for addressing constipation.

Great! I take it 30 minutes before breakfast, once a day. It’s an excellent effective drug! I’ve almost forgotten what constipation and heaviness in my abdomen feel like. It appears that the bile outflow has improved, which explains the positive results. I recommend undergoing an ultrasound of the gallbladder for stones before starting the medication to avoid any unexpected issues.

Taurine is great for digestion. I’ve been taking it alongside Acetyl L-Carnitine and Molybdenum for two months, and since then, I have not dealt with constipation. After years of suffering from it, nothing has worked previously, but these three together seem to be remarkably effective. I will continue purchasing all three. Thank you, iHerb, for the supply.

Taurinchik !!! I bought it for the first time due to my gallbladder disease with polyps. I've been drinking it for almost a month, and I feel good. Previously, I experienced no constipation, but after taking it, I felt slight relief. I consume taurine in the morning, 30 minutes before breakfast, alongside Thorne's liver cleanse in the evening. They work remarkably well together. I will update my review after I get tested.

Relieved bile congestion
Taurine helps with bile congestion. I took it on my doctor's recommendation, as I experience bile stagnation and have Gilbert's syndrome. I use it in courses of 3-4 months. It effectively alleviates dry skin and constipation.
