Our findings indicated that GPs not only improved the expression of vital proteins and mucins in the small intestine but also had a positive effect on gut bacteria. The garlic polysaccharides increased beneficial compounds like butyric acid, promoted the growth of healthy gut bacteria, and helped balance gut microbiota. Notably, GPs also showed promise in easing loperamide-induced constipation by improving bowel movement frequency and stool consistency.

We conducted a fully decentralized clinical trial to explore the effects of vitamin C on constipation symptoms. Participants who experienced functional constipation were randomly assigned to receive either Lactobacillus with vitamin C or vitamin C alone over a two-week treatment period. The study allowed us to gather data remotely, which is quite innovative and accessible.
Looking specifically at the results from the group that received vitamin C, we observed that while there was an increase in the frequency of bowel movements compared to the control group, the isolated effect of vitamin C itself wasn't entirely clear. The combination treatment appeared to improve bowel regularity, but it was difficult to determine how much vitamin C contributed independently to these results.
Additionally, we found that about 67% of participants were diligent in tracking their bowel diary entries, which helped ensure the reliability of our findings to an extent. Yet, a significant portion of the records were not kept as scheduled, highlighting potential hurdles in data collection for decentralized trials.
Overall, our observations suggest that while vitamin C, especially when paired with Lactobacillus, may provide some benefits for those struggling with constipation, we should exercise caution before attributing all improvements solely to vitamin C.

Children are delighted! I keep a close eye on my children's gastrointestinal health. These tablets have a subtle fruity flavour, which my children enjoy, making them eager to take them. I give one tablet daily. Although they are described as "wafers", they resemble flat tablets, akin to ascorbic acid. With a billion acidophilus per tablet, the quality is good. Better than HEMAPLEX during pregnancy (21 weeks). Despite my hemoglobin being 140, my ferritin and iron were low. Hemaplex caused headaches, nausea, and constipation. I switched to this natural iron supplement and have had no such issues. My lips now have colour, and I plan to continue taking it through my pregnancy and breastfeeding. The smell is also far more pleasant than Hemaplex.

With inulin incorporated into a standard diet, we observed a notable improvement in constipated mice. They experienced an increase in both the weight and moisture content of their feces, indicating better bowel function.
Beyond physical improvements, we also found that inulin treatment helped reduce behaviors associated with depression and anxiety. This was linked to a decrease in neuro-inflammation and protection against cellular damage in the brain's synapses. Importantly, inulin also supported gut health by enhancing the gut barrier and altering gut microbiota for the better.
While the gut microbiome reshaping was promising, we observed that when we depleted the gut microbiota with antibiotics, the benefits of inulin on mood were significantly diminished. Furthermore, inulin treatment boosted the levels of beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which were also shown to help improve depressive behavior when administered separately.
In conclusion, dietary inulin presents a valuable nutritional strategy for preventing depression linked to constipation by influencing both the gut microbiome and its metabolites.

Great intestinal support! I bought this inulin to use with a probiotic from CGN. I drink the probiotic at night and inulin when I remember. Inulin nourishes beneficial intestinal flora. Previously, I suffered from constipation, sometimes going 4-5 days without a visit to the toilet, relying solely on Dufalac. Now, after combining the probiotic and inulin, my intestines are more active in the morning. Even while taking iron, which is known to cause constipation, this combination has worked wonders!

This is the second time I have purchased this medication for my child. He enjoys taking them as they are shaped like a lion and taste pleasant (I tell him he will grow strong like a lion😀). Alongside a decent vitamin complex, there is also "intestinal help". My son, aged 6.5, has a tendency towards constipation, but I have observed that his stool has improved with this complex. Occasionally, he develops little "goosebumps" on his forearms and back due to poor bowel function, but these disappear when his stool is regularised with these vitamins. Good vitamins! I began taking these when my child was about two months old and bought the maximum volume of 270 tablets for three months. I've nearly finished the bottle.
