Quercetin lowers cholesterol effectively
We investigated how onion peel extract, packed with quercetin, affects high cholesterol levels in mice. Divided into four groups, the mice were fed different diets for 12 weeks.

Those receiving the higher dose of onion peel extract showed significant reductions in serum and liver cholesterol levels, along with improved liver health markers compared to the group on a high cholesterol diet alone.

This suggests that quercetin may lower cholesterol by increasing its excretion.

Quercetin nanoemulsion aids cholesterol regulation
We observed the benefits of quercetin nanoemulsion (QN) in mice fed a high-cholesterol diet. Divided into groups, the mice were supplemented with different doses of QN for six weeks.

Results showed improved serum and liver lipid profiles, suggesting that QN helped enhance cholesterol efflux by affecting specific pathways in the liver. Increased AMPK activity and reduced levels of certain microRNAs were also noted.

Overall, our findings indicate that QN could be beneficial for cholesterol regulation, at least in this animal model.

We explored how quercetin affects heart health in rats with high cholesterol. The study found that quercetin significantly improved lipid profiles and reduced oxidative stress linked to high-cholesterol diets.

It also helped prevent diastolic dysfunction and cardiac cholesterol buildup, while supporting better energy metabolism in the heart. These positive effects suggest that quercetin could be beneficial for managing heart issues caused by high cholesterol and high sugar levels.

Excellent! I bought it for my father, who has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and various age-related concerns. He has tolerated it well; after just a month, the results were noticeable. His cholesterol levels gradually returned to normal, and his blood pressure has normalised as well. Quercetin is also being used to boost immunity.

Cholesterol-lowering effects observed
We examined the effects of a berry extract from Lonicera caerulea, rich in polyphenols, on high cholesterol levels. In laboratory tests with Caco-2 cells and rats, the extract proved effective in reducing cholesterol levels and boosting antioxidant capacity.

In rats fed a high cholesterol diet, supplementation with this berry extract significantly lowered total cholesterol and harmful LDL levels while raising beneficial HDL levels. We observed measurable improvements in cholesterol metabolism and antioxidant activity. Overall, Lonicera caerulea berry extract holds promise as a functional food for cholesterol management.

Quercetin nanoemulsion boosts muscle health
We examined the effects of quercetin nanoemulsion (QT+NE) on cholesterol levels and muscle function in mice on a high-fat diet. Over 11 weeks, QT+NE showed a notable reduction in body weight gain and improved fat distribution when compared to a high-fat diet alone.

Interestingly, QT+NE significantly boosted the activation of SIRT1, a gene linked to mitochondrial health, and maintained mitochondrial DNA levels. However, traditional quercetin failed to show these benefits. Our findings suggest that QT+NE could be a promising option for enhancing muscle health and managing cholesterol in high-fat dietary contexts.

Quercetin enhances metabolic health
We investigated how Massa Medicata Fermentata (MMF), which contains quercetin, impacts cholesterol and overall metabolic health. In our study, zebrafish were fed a high-cholesterol diet while receiving MMF for three weeks.

The results showed that MMF helped reduce cholesterol accumulation and body mass index, indicating positive metabolic changes. Additionally, MMF demonstrated strong antioxidant effects, effectively inhibiting LDL oxidation and decreasing inflammation markers.

While we observed beneficial effects on cholesterol and inflammation, further research is needed to fully understand quercetin's role in these outcomes.

Maintains cholesterol
The composition of quercetin aids in normalising blood sugar, supporting cardiovascular health, and effectively managing normal cholesterol levels. It also reduces the risk of stroke and boasts high antioxidant properties while helping to control inflammatory symptoms.

Optimised Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that supports cellular health and immune function. This Life Extension product contains 250 mg of quercetin and beneficial components like camu-camu berries and vitamin C. Quercetin strengthens the heart system and protects blood vessels, maintaining optimal cholesterol levels and balancing nitric oxide to alleviate pressure issues. Additionally, it reduces oxidative stress, promoting proper gene expression.

Quercetin potentially aids cholesterol management
We explored the impact of quercetin-3-glucoside on mice with high cholesterol diets. Over 12 weeks, mice were given either low or high cholesterol diets, some supplemented with quercetin.

While there was no noticeable effect in those on a low cholesterol diet, quercetin did help reduce cholesterol and insulin levels in high cholesterol-diet mice. It increased important proteins that assist in cholesterol clearance but also seemed to promote insulin secretion in pancreatic cells.

Overall, quercetin may hold potential for managing cholesterol levels.
4
Quercetin shows limited cholesterol effect
We investigated the effects of quercetin and rutin on cholesterol levels. In laboratory settings using liver cells, we found that both compounds significantly lowered cholesterol levels. They achieved this by boosting the expression of proteins involved in cholesterol metabolism.

However, when tested in hamsters with high cholesterol, neither quercetin nor rutin led to significant reductions in plasma cholesterol after eight weeks. This suggests that while they might work well in cells, their benefits may not extend effectively to living organisms due to issues with how well they are absorbed.
7
Quercetin's limited cholesterol impact
We explored the impact of quercetin on high cholesterol in female Sprague Dawley rats subjected to unhealthy diets. The study involved different groups of rats, some receiving quercetin while others were given standard diets or fenofibrate.

While quercetin seemed to help reduce liver fat accumulation by about 50%, these effects weren't statistically significant. Hence, we can conclude that, currently, quercetin doesn't show substantial benefits in lowering cholesterol levels in this context. Nonetheless, its potential against liver complications is worth noting.
