Nature Made Vitamin C helps keep me healthy.
What can I say? It's Vitamin C. I've taken it for years. Although there is some controversy as to whether Vitamin C is really beneficial in fighting colds, Flu, etc. I discovered many yrs ago, I didn't get them as often, even when exposed, if I took Vit. C everyday. If I feel like I might be coming down with a cold, I'll take 1 in the morning and one in the evening. In other words, it sure works well as an antioxidant for me. It also helps your body to absorb and utilize other important nutrients. I prefer Nature Made brand because of it's consistency of purity and potency as verified by USP. Also, there are no artificial colors or flavors, no preservatives or yeast and no chemical solvents, or gluten. I could list all the things Vitamin C is suppose to be good for, but you can read that yourself in the manufacturer's product description above. Although 1,000 mg is well above the USRDA it doesn't appear to cause me any problem, because it's water soluable. As I understand it, your body will simply wash out any excess. That doesn't mean you should take many thousand mg/day unless instructed to do so by your doctor. You'd just be wasting your money and literally flushing it down the drain. If you're taking other medications, are pregnant or in doubt consult your physician before taking any supplement. Also please note: It's best to take with a meal and drink plenty of water.
