We investigated the impact of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium adolescentis on anxiety levels in rats facing acute hypoxia. In our study, 64 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups for comparison. The results showed that rats receiving probiotics exhibited lower oxidative stress and anxiety levels compared to those who did not. Notably, those treated with probiotics went through behavioral tests indicating increased exploratory behavior and decreased anxiety. Overall, our findings suggest that these probiotics offer both antioxidant and anxiety-reducing effects in stressful conditions.
