Magnesium reduces bruising post-surgery
The Efficacy of Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4) Wet Dressing in Reducing Eyelid Swelling and Bruising after Blepharoplasty: A Randomized, Controlled, and Observer-Blinded Assessment Study.
Focus on magnesium sulfate efficacy
We explored the impact of magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) wet dressings on bruising and swelling following blepharoplasty, a common eyelid surgery. In our study, fifty-eight patients were evenly split between two treatments: one side received a magnesium sulfate solution, while the other was cooled with ice packs. This setup allowed us to compare the effectiveness of these two methods objectively.

Over the recovery period, we observed that the eyelid swelling was similar in both groups initially but notably reduced over time. However, by the fifth day after surgery, we found that those treated with the magnesium solution experienced significantly less swelling compared to the cooling method. Additionally, bruising—measured by both area and incidence—was also lower in the magnesium group, highlighting its effectiveness.

Interestingly, a significant majority of patients preferred the magnesium treatment over ice cooling, with many appreciating the convenience and results of the wet dressing. This suggests that magnesium sulfate is not only effective in reducing bruising and swelling but is also a patient-favored option for recovery after eyelid surgery.

Helps with bruises
A year ago, I switched from pharmacy Magnelis B6 to this magnesium, which cost a fortune. The endless bruises I had were a real concern. I now understand that citrate is the most absorbable form of magnesium, helping with constipation, acting as an antispasmodic, alleviating gastrointestinal spasms, alkalising the body, and addressing deficiencies. I take it 2 hours before bedtime, though it can also be consumed in the morning and afternoon.

Reduces bruising
This form of magnesium is effective! The body requires magnesium for numerous biochemical processes. I found it bioavailable and efficient. My child had frequent blinking due to a bruise and stress, but after seven days of taking it, those issues disappeared. Choose Magnesium Citrate and feel better!
