Oregano has carvacrol, a flavonoid with marked bactericidal and antiallergic effects, effective against various bacteria, particularly E. coli, while normalising insulin secretion. Additionally, another flavonoid, thymol, possesses antiseptic and antihistamine properties. I took one capsule twice a day alongside other medications for gastrointestinal problems and chronic tonsillitis. The benefits were apparent. The capsules are small, brown, and easy to swallow.

I purchased oregano oil on my doctor’s advice for my husband, who has chronic tonsillitis. It possesses antimicrobial, antiviral, and even antiparasitic properties, providing good results in the treatment of chronically inflamed glands. The doctor suggested chewing the capsule, but the oil has a painfully burning and bitter taste, so if you choose to follow our lead, it's better to just swallow. I'm hopeful that the effect will still be beneficial. Exercise caution, as herbal preparations can be allergenic.
