Excellent quality supplement

The quality of Organic Whole Psyllium Husks is outstanding. Psyllium husk is primarily composed of soluble fibre, which absorbs water in the digestive tract, expanding to form a gel-like substance that aids in bulking up stool for easier passage. This makes it a superb choice for anyone experiencing constipation or irregular bowel movements.

Delicious gastrointestinal aid
Most Useful Review
This is excellent; it aids my bowel movement every time I consume it. I mix it with cocoa, a touch of coffee powder, and coconut milk, then top it with banana. It tastes so good, like a dessert. However, I’ve noticed that the price has risen significantly over the past year, from over £10 to £17.

A good alternative to Metamucil. Following my colon resection for diverticulitis, my surgeon had me use a fibre supplement. Unlike the sugar-free Metamucil that gave me diarrhoea, this unflavoured option does not. Mixing it with orange juice and sparkling water works well.

Morning lightness achieved
Most Useful Review
Give it a try, and it will become your assistant. This product is fantastic for bloating and poor stool quality, leading to a sense of lightness in the morning. Just a tablespoon followed quickly by a glass of water does the trick; I prefer the unground husk as it’s more pleasant to drink, as the ground form resembles porridge and is difficult to consume.

Soluble fibre, such as psyllium husk, in a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. To achieve this effect, you need to consume 7 grams of soluble fibre per day. One serving of whole psyllium husk contains 6 grams of the 7 needed.

Promotes heart health
Most Useful Review
The mass of psyllium husk and the soluble fibre it contains can help reduce heart disease risk when included in a low-saturated-fat, low-cholesterol diet. A serving of psyllium husk powder delivers 6 grams of the needed 7 grams of soluble fibre daily. Mix 1-2 tablespoons with at least 12 oz of water or juice and consume immediately, ensuring adequate fluid intake throughout the day. Gradually increase the amount to facilitate adjustment of the intestinal tract and reduce constipation.

Great results

This product works for me, as expected. I've suffered from chronic constipation throughout my life, often going a week without bowel movements. After trying fibre supplements, I started with Metamucil. It worked well, but I was concerned about its ingredients. So, I switched to NOW's version which yielded the same great results after mixing it with juice and water. It's not enjoyable to drink, but it definitely assists with my constipation.

Controls cholesterol levels

A must-have! My husband and I have been using this for years to increase soluble fibre in our diet. Unlike other products, it has no added ingredients, which is a plus. I have high cholesterol, and I believe this helps keep it under control. We take it first thing in the morning, and the lack of taste is convenient for our routines.
