I initially tried a different iron supplement but it upset my stomach. I returned to Now Foods iron supplement, which doesn’t cause heartburn even on an empty stomach.

I switched to this iron supplement based on recommendations. Sadly, I couldn't continue because I experienced unbearable nausea and heartburn, similar to what I experienced with prescribed iron. I didn't discover its effects due to these side effects.

No heartburn issues
Good excellent iron; it doesn't cause constipation or heartburn. My haemoglobin increased from 83 to 119, which I consider excellent. I will continue taking it, especially with vitamin C for better absorption.

Now pregnant, my haemoglobin was slightly low, but after three weeks on these capsules, it increased by 10 units. However, I won’t repurchase due to the iron smell and the heartburn that worsens during my third trimester.

No heartburn experienced
I've been taking this for years. While it’s not a dramatic change, I notice a decrease in my cravings for sweets when my iron levels are sufficient. It has no heartburn side effects, and my family doctor approves. I will keep using it.

Heartburn if empty
The packaging indicates it must be taken with food. When taken correctly, it does not cause nausea, but can lead to heartburn if taken on an empty stomach.
