The primary reason for taking the vitamin B group was to lower my homocysteine levels, an established risk factor for arteriosclerosis. After a 2017 examination revealed a high HCY score of 16, I discovered calcium plaques (arteriosclerosis) in the aorta. Despite a healthy lifestyle, doctors confirmed that my elevated homocysteine caused this condition. STOP THE MIGRAINES. Four of my family members use this vitamin to ward off migraines or stop them at the first sign. Caffeine, cow's milk products, and real chocolate trigger my migraines. Extreme stress exacerbates them. This yeast-based B-50 vitamin builds resistance to symptoms (bright lights, vertigo, head pain, nausea) and taken at the onset will halt a migraine immediately. The prescribed dosage for my family is 2 capsules with each of the 3 meals, adjusting by reducing the evening dose to 1 and the lunch dose as needed while keeping breakfast at 2. Each of us has a slightly different response, but we take 5-6 capsules when a migraine sneaks in. It reduces the prolonged fatigue that can ruin a day.
