I take this on an empty stomach with water before bedtime, which helps alleviate midnight reflux and heartburn. It also aids in rebuilding the stomach lining and feeding beneficial bacteria.

For Gastric Reflux. I use this for GERD. Recent studies suggest that many Gerd patients are actually NERD (up to 70%), Non-Erosive Reflux Disease, where bile is predominantly present in the reflux instead of acid. Symptoms can be similar, but bile may also back up as far as the ears and sinuses. Taurine helps improve bile flow (thinning it). After approximately three weeks of taking 2000 mg daily (morning and evening), I have experienced relief.
