We examined how quercetin, a popular plant-based antioxidant, affects skin inflammation caused by the acne-causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. Through both laboratory and mouse studies, we found that quercetin significantly decreased inflammation-related proteins and cell responses triggered by this bacteria. When tested on mice, quercetin reduced swelling and redness at the injection site. These findings suggest that quercetin could serve as a beneficial treatment option for acne-related inflammation, opening doors for its use in skin care products and therapies.

Quercetin nanovesicles reduce acne lesions
We explored how quercetin, a natural compound, can be effectively delivered for acne treatment using innovative vitamin C-based nanovesicles called aspasomes.

The study analyzed their ability to penetrate the skin and combat acne-causing bacteria, revealing significant antibacterial properties.

In a clinical trial involving 20 acne patients, we observed substantial reductions in inflammatory lesions and total acne lesions.

These results suggest that quercetin-loaded aspasomes could be a promising option for acne therapy, highlighting the potential of combining nutraceuticals with advanced delivery systems.

Quercetin nanofibers reduce acne
We explored a new approach to acne treatment through composite nanofibers that deliver quercetin, known for its soothing and antibacterial properties. In our study, these nanofibers were tested for their efficiency in reducing acne, and the results were promising.

Patients experienced a remarkable 61.2% reduction in inflammatory lesions and a 52.9% decrease in total acne lesions. Our findings suggest that this innovative nanofiber delivery system could be a game-changer in treating acne effectively.

I take 2 tablets of lactic acid bacteria on an empty stomach each morning. I suffer from allergic conjunctivitis, but since using this product, my eyes are less irritated and no longer itchy. Additionally, as someone with acne-prone skin, I've noticed my skin becoming much clearer. I can definitely notice a difference before and after starting the supplement. Given that one bottle lasts 4 months, it's not overly expensive. I will purchase again.

I believe it's working... I've been using this product for two weeks and gradually increased my dose. Due to severe food intolerances, I’m being cautious with each supplement. I still experience hives and acne, partly hormonal, but my skin feels less itchy. Hopefully, as I continue, I can slowly reintroduce foods into my diet.

The pill size is manageable and it's said to be effective against inflammation. Unfortunately, I didn’t experience significant results on my acne, though it offered minimal improvement.

Very good! I purchased this after hearing it can boost immunity and prevent Wuhan pneumonia. After taking it a few times, I suddenly developed a multitude of pimples on my face. I typically don't suffer from acne, but now my entire face is covered with small spots.

I knew that this product was good for acne and rosacea and decided to try it. However, it made my stomach feel heavy when taken on an empty stomach, so I've started taking it with meals. My skin condition has improved, although it hasn't completely alleviated my allergies as I'm pairing it with antihistamines.

I cannot recommend quercetin enough! I initially gave it to my brother, who complained of allergy symptoms. After taking it for a couple of days, he felt much better. I started taking it myself and noticed some pimples at first, but they disappeared completely after continuing. My allergy symptoms also improved significantly this year during birch flowering!

We investigated the potential of quercetin and other phenolic compounds in reducing inflammation caused by Propionibacterium acnes, a key contributor to acne. Mice with induced ear edema were treated with various compounds, and results showed that quercetin led to a 40% reduction in inflammation.

However, while quercetin is effective, the overall benefits were much like those observed with other phenolic compounds. This study suggests that quercetin could serve as an alternative ingredient in cosmetics aimed at treating acne.
