Probiotic ice cream reduces allergies
We investigated the impact of a probiotic ice cream containing engineered bacteria on pollen allergies in mice. After sensitizing the mice, we treated them with this unique ice cream for four weeks. The results were promising! The ice cream significantly lowered serum IgE levels, which are linked to allergic reactions. Additionally, beneficial cytokines increased while the levels of a harmful cytokine decreased. Overall, our findings suggest that this probiotic ice cream could improve allergy responses, particularly with Th1 and Treg involvement.

Probiotic improves allergic asthma
We explored how the probiotic strain CCFM1274 affects allergic asthma symptoms by modifying tryptophan metabolism. Using a mouse model, we administered ovalbumin to induce asthma and treated the mice with CCFM1274. The results were promising; this probiotic reduced both weight loss and mortality in the mice.

We also noticed a drop in specific immunoglobulin E levels and inflammatory cytokines, indicating improved lung health. CCFM1274 appears to help remodel gut metabolism, leading to better management of allergic asthma symptoms as demonstrated in our study.

Probiotics beneficial for allergies
Our study asked whether a specific mixture of probiotics could help alleviate allergic rhinitis symptoms in children. We enrolled 250 kids, half receiving the probiotic mixture alongside their regular allergy treatment, and the other half getting a placebo.

The results were promising! Those in the probiotic group experienced a significant reduction in allergy symptoms and less reliance on allergy medications. This evidence suggests that probiotics might be a helpful addition to managing allergic rhinitis in children.

Relieved food allergies

A godsend for food allergies. After discovering I am allergic to foods I’ve consumed all my life, I experienced rashes and blisters from seemingly safe foods. The only relief came from certain antibiotics and steroids, which were quite concerning. My GI doctor suggested a probiotic due to the antibiotics I was taking. After a friend's recommendation, I tried it, and within three days, the rashes had vanished. Now, I am able to eat what I want, and I plan to retest for my allergies soon. I highly recommend this for food allergies.

Once a great product, it is no longer allergy safe. I am disappointed as this was my go-to probiotic for years. I have numerous food allergies, and it had been difficult to find a probiotic without issues. My doctor recommended taking several each day, making it quite an investment. Unfortunately, they altered the formula, leading to allergic reactions and health flare-ups. It frustrates me that they change a product that many in the allergy community rely on. This once essential product is now no longer safe for me.

We sought to understand if Bifiform Kids, a probiotic, could help prevent respiratory infections in children with recurrent infections and gastrointestinal allergy symptoms. In our controlled trial with 92 children aged 4 to 5, those taking the probiotic showed a significant 3-fold reduction in respiratory infections compared to the control group.

After 21 days, there were notable immune system improvements, including an increase in protective IgA levels and a decrease in allergic IgE. These findings suggest that Bifiform Kids is effective for preventing respiratory infections in children facing allergic issues.

Probiotic reduces food allergy symptoms
This prospective randomized controlled study involved 92 children aged 4 to 5 with food allergies affecting their skin and gastrointestinal system.

Half of the children received a combined probiotic over 21 days, resulting in reduced allergy symptoms and lower IgE levels compared to the control group.

After treatment, significant improvements in skin conditions and gastrointestinal issues were noted, showcasing the probiotic's potential to alleviate allergy symptoms and rebalance specific immune responses.

We investigated how a daily symbiotic food supplement could affect birch pollen allergies in patients with rhinoconjunctivitis. This study used an allergen exposure chamber, allowing us to standardize pollen exposure and track symptoms effectively.

Over four months, the supplement seemed to enhance patients' overall well-being and significantly improve allergy symptoms during controlled exposures. The findings suggest a promising role for such supplements in managing allergic rhinitis, with a strong safety record.
