Researchers examined five clinical studies involving 936 adults to evaluate elderberry's effects on acute respiratory infections. When taken within 48 hours of symptom onset, elderberry extract or lozenges showed promise in reducing common cold and flu symptoms—including fever, headache, and nasal congestion. Most adults experienced roughly 50% symptom reduction within 2-4 days of treatment.
Elderberry appears particularly effective for influenza-related symptoms, though evidence on cough relief remains mixed. The treatment was well-tolerated with minimal side effects and no serious adverse events reported. However, there's currently insufficient evidence for use in pregnant or lactating women, and no support for COVID-19 treatment or prevention.

A must-have for every medicine cabinet. This is my go-to product when I sense a cold coming on. My kids enjoy the taste and it dissolves quickly. I've noticed it lessens the number and duration of colds in our house. Since I stopped taking pain relievers due to stomach issues, I use this when I get a headache, and it works well for me.

Cold and headache relief

I had a terrible cold with body aches and sinus headache. Luckily, after taking one tablet, my symptoms disappeared, and I felt normal. However, it only lasts about three hours, necessitating more doses. I recommend it as my husband also benefited from it, and he was feeling healthy again after three tablets.

This product has been a lifesaver for my daughter and me, as we have Lyme Disease and our immune systems have been compromised. I've encountered a product that assists during illnesses and during herx reactions. It contains flavonoids that reduce swelling, fight inflammation, and boost immunity. It eases flu symptoms like headache and fatigue, especially when taken early on.
