Significant improvement
After struggling with anaemia for many years, I finally discovered my hemoglobin was 80 when it should be 120. I had attributed my weakness and hair loss to my mild hypothyroidism. Since taking Solgar iron supplements for 2.5 months, my hemoglobin has risen to 122, which is normal. My overall well-being has greatly improved, and my hair hardly falls out anymore. Need for vitamins
I am writing this review four to five months after starting the iron supplement. Initially, I was unaware that I had developed hypothyroidism, which impacted the absorption of iron. Other cofactors such as vitamin C, B vitamins, and proper acidity in the stomach are vital for effective iron supplementation. Now, I combine iron with methyl B vitamins and Betaine-pepsin to improve absorption. As a result, my situation has significantly improved, particularly with a different iron formulation. I hope my experience is useful to others.
