Flu prevention boost

A brilliant immune booster! I have used L Lysine for many years and favour this brand, although I wish it came in easier-to-swallow capsules. I take it as a preventative measure against flu. Whenever exposed to someone with a contagious illness, I start taking L-Lysine immediately, at 4000mg three or four times a day. I do the same if I sense a cold or sore throat. Prompt action is key, as waiting can reduce its effectiveness. Lysine is also helpful while travelling on planes, a great defence against sickness.

Prevents flu replication

It's advisable to take this if you suspect you are catching the flu; research indicates it prevents the flu virus from replicating. Therefore, we stocked up just in case. (A flu shot is still necessary!)
