We examined how DHA, at a dose of 625 mg, influences menopausal symptoms, sexual function, and overall quality of life in perimenopausal women. Involving 42 participants, we measured multiple aspects of their well-being using reputable indices over six months. Results indicated significant improvements in menopause symptoms and psychological quality of life. Particularly, sexual function scores improved, suggesting benefits for arousal and lubrication. However, physical quality of life showed no meaningful change. Thus, DHA appears promising in alleviating specific menopausal challenges and enhancing the sexual experience.
We explored the impact of omega-3 fish oil on menopausal quality of life through a well-designed 12-week study. Involving 355 peri- and postmenopausal women, participants were divided into groups for yoga, exercise, usual activity, and omega-3 or placebo supplements.

While yoga demonstrated some positive effects, omega-3 did not show significant benefits in improving quality of life or menopausal symptoms. The results indicate that while yoga can aid menopausal women, omega-3 supplementation may not be a reliable option for enhancing their experience.
We investigated how omega-3 fish oil affects menopausal symptoms in postmenopausal women through a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Women received either soybean, omega-3, or a placebo over 12 weeks.

Both soybean and omega-3 supplements improved menopausal symptoms, but interestingly, there was no notable difference between the two supplements. Additionally, neither had any impact on blood lipids or thyroid hormones.

Overall, omega-3 fish oil may help ease menopausal discomfort but does not significantly outperform other options like soybean.
