We explored how magnesium affects our immune response, particularly in relation to fighting off influenza. By examining how magnesium levels influence T cell function, we noticed that lower levels of magnesium in the body could hinder the T cell receptor (TCR) activation process. This is significant because TCR activation is crucial for mounting an effective immune response against viruses like influenza.

Our findings revealed that insufficient magnesium decreases the activation of important immune cells, specifically CD8 T cells, which are vital for responding to infections. This was further demonstrated in mice where reduced serum magnesium concentrations led to weaker immune responses and more severe illness from influenza A virus.

Overall, we observed that magnesium not only serves as an essential cofactor in cellular processes but also plays a direct role in maintaining strong immune function. Ensuring an adequate intake of magnesium is therefore important for enhancing our ability to combat viral infections effectively.

After a severe reaction to Levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, I became nearly incapable of standing or walking. Others recommended this supplement, and it significantly improved my symptoms, resulting in less joint pain and muscle tearing. The difference is striking since I began taking it.

Starting with three pills daily was vital for me; I initially feared side effects but noticed improvement. Magnesium transformed my life, alleviating fibromyalgia symptoms and restoring regular menstrual cycles after years of irregularity. It’s quite a journey, but I recommend being patient and starting slowly with these supplements.

Dr. Oz mentioned this helps maintain joint fluid in hips, specifically with Malate Magnesium. My high-dose Lasix caused fluid loss from my hip joints, making it tough to sit down. This supplement has relieved my hip pain dramatically, allowing me to sit comfortably rather than lying in bed because of pain.

Knee pain relief
My husband and I take two tablets at night, which have helped us feel calmer and sleep better. I also gave my 65-year-old father the remaining magnesium from the jar for two weeks. To my surprise, he reported that his knee pain, caused by fluid, has completely resolved. All is well!
