Echinacea reduces acne inflammation
We explored the potential of Echinacea purpurea, specifically in the form of Echinaforce®, to help manage acne, which is caused by the bacterium Propionibacterium acnes. The study aimed to see if this herbal remedy could serve as a viable treatment option due to its well-known antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.

Remarkably, we found that Echinacea was effective in killing not only a standard laboratory strain of P. acnes but also several clinical isolates. This suggests that it could reduce the bacterial load that contributes to acne flare-ups.

Additionally, we observed that when P. acnes was introduced to human bronchial and skin cell cultures, it caused significant inflammation marked by the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-6 and IL-8. However, the application of Echinaforce® completely reversed this inflammatory response, bringing the cytokine levels back to normal.

Overall, our findings suggest that Echinacea could offer a dual benefit for those struggling with acne: it may help reduce the growth of the bacteria responsible for breakouts while also calming the inflammation that comes with it. This makes Echinaforce® an exciting alternative treatment for acne sufferers seeking natural options.

Echinacea supports acne treatment strategies
We explored the potential benefits of a dietary supplement that includes echinacea and probiotics in treating mild to moderate acne. Through a well-structured clinical study involving 114 participants, we compared the effects of this supplement against a placebo over eight weeks.

Participants taking the supplement experienced a notable reduction in superficial inflammatory lesions. The results showed a significant decrease in acne-related symptoms along with changes in skin microbiota, which are often linked to acne development. In particular, those taking the botanical extracts, including echinacea, reported a 40% reduction in inflammatory lesions.

While the study highlights echinacea's role within a multi-faceted approach to acne treatment, it is important to note that we cannot isolate echinacea's effect due to its combination with other components. Even so, our findings suggest that these supplements could serve as a promising option for managing acne-prone skin.

Effective for hormonal acne
232 people found this helpful
Excellent for hormonal acne. I buy it in six-packs as I consume it quickly. Although I am not particularly fond of the taste, it becomes manageable. I initially dealt with severe hormonal acne along my jawline and chin. After learning about spironolactone, I discovered spearmint tea could be beneficial, as it interacts with excess androgen. I started with two cups daily and observed a drop in blemishes, from 27 on day one to just five by day ten. After a month, my jawline was clear, and so I reduced my intake to one cup daily, which has maintained my clear skin. While it didn't significantly help other breakouts, this tea proved invaluable for my hormonal acne.

Brighter, clearer skin

This tea works remarkably well for hormonal acne. At 37, I was troubled by painful pimples on my neck. After drinking this overnight and having zero pimples this cycle, my skin looks brighter, and my pores appear clearer. It helped address not only my acne but also my mild heartburn. Surprisingly, my chronic gas issues have improved significantly. Although I still experience some gas occasionally, this tea has made a notable difference in my daily discomfort.

Detoxifies and clears acne
36 people found this helpful
This tea is fantastic for detoxification and alleviating skin issues like acne. I adore this organic tea and have repurchased it several times. While its taste isn't as delightful as a soda, I primarily consume it for health reasons. Initially, I sought it to detox because of severe acne breakouts. After three weeks of drinking two cups daily, my skin improved dramatically—no new pimples appeared, and I feel healthier overall. I ensure to steep for at least ten minutes for a potent brew. This tea acts as a diuretic, so I drink plenty of water alongside it. It's a staple in my routine and highly recommended to friends.

Significant skin improvement
25 people found this helpful
This tea has transformed my skin. I began drinking it for adult hormonal acne, especially on my chin and jawline, as suggested by my dermatologist. Initially, the results were slow to show—but that was because I wasn't brewing it strongly enough. After adjusting my brewing method, improvements began to appear quickly. I drink a mug in the morning and another in the evening. For the first time since I was 13, my skin is clear and radiant. I've also noticed fewer unwanted hairs. I experienced some initial drowsiness, which has subsided, and I’ve had no unpleasant side effects.

Regulates acne effectively

This tea has been a lifesaver! After three months without my period, I started drinking three cups daily, and it returned within two days. I also consume it for hirsutism. Consistent use has diminished both my acne and unwanted hair growth. Initially, I suffered from a patch of red acne, but it has since nearly vanished! Additionally, my cycles have regularised. Combined with a healthy diet and exercise, this tea has helped balance my hormones significantly. I wholeheartedly recommend it for those facing hormonal issues.
