PhD in Vision Sciences, Professor at the Faculty of Optics and Optometry and Researcher at the Ramón Castroviejo Ophthalmology Research Institute, Complutense University of Madrid. Extraordinary Doctorate Award (dean's list), Prize of the Royal National Academy of Medicine for Doctorate in Basic Medical Sciences and 1st Prize of Doctoral Thesis Santiago Grisolía in Vision Sciences. She is focused on the field of glaucoma, ischemia and neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer, ALS...) and the role of the retina as an early biomarker of these pathologies, using histological analysis and OCT, OCTA techniques. These researches are carried out both in the clinic with patients and in experimental animals. Author of numerous papers in scientific journals and participated as a speaker in many national and international congresses.
