Dr. M. Brennan Harris is currently Professor and Chair of Kinesiology & Health Sciences at William & Mary. Dr. Harris specializes in exercise and cardiovascular physiology. Dr. Harris received his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas at Austin (1999) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in vascular biology at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Harris’ research interests fall under the broad umbrella of exercise and cardiovascular physiology and encompass three main areas from basic (cell and molecular) science to clinical science (human physiology and behavior): 1) NOS regulation (basic) 2) Physiologic responses to Hypoxia (human physiology) 3) Health and Pilgrimage (human physiology and behavior). I also have on on-going collaborative work with Dr. Chia-Hua Kuo (University of Taipei) exploring mechanisms of energy balance particularly exercise and fat loss.
