Ginkgo biloba supports hypothyroidism treatmentTreatment with Ginkgo biloba supplement modulates oxidative disturbances, inflammation and vascular functions in oxygen deprived hypothyroid mice: Involvement of endothelin-1/NO signaling pathways.
Most Relevant Research
We investigated how Ginkgo biloba could help balance some of the challenges faced by hypothyroid mice under conditions of oxygen deprivation. In our study, we divided male Swiss mice into five groups, where some received Ginkgo biloba, while others were treated with Levothyroxine or were left untreated as controls.
We observed that Ginkgo biloba didn’t boost thyroid hormone levels, but it helped keep TSH levels steady. After treatment, the mice showed lower blood glucose, decreased oxidative stress, and inflammation, indicating a positive shift in their biochemical balance. This suggests Ginkgo biloba may reduce harmful effects related to hypoxia and hypothyroidism.
Importantly, we noticed Ginkgo biloba affected the signaling pathways involving endothelin-1 and nitric oxide in the aorta, which are crucial for vascular health. Overall, Ginkgo biloba appears to act as a therapeutic candidate, potentially offering a natural way to support cardiovascular function in hypothyroid conditions affected by low oxygen levels.

Great product! At over 40 years old with hypothyroidism, I experienced drowsiness and a general decline in strength. Since taking this routinely with other supplements, I have literally regained my life over the past six months! I have confidence in the manufacturer, despite the GMP certificate. I highly recommend it!
