It's amazing, girls. I used to suffer from dryness in my skin and had dark circles under my eyes. Thankfully, since I started using it, the dark circles have decreased significantly, and my hair looks shiny. I even had constipation, which has now been resolved. Its effect is lovely; I feel it moisturises the inside of my body, and the package has plenty to last for months.

We explored the effects of vitamin E on anxiety and depression, particularly in the context of menopause-related mood disorders. To conduct this research, we studied ovariectomized mice—an animal model representing estrogen deficiency.

Our findings indicated that ovariectomized mice exhibited behaviors linked to depression and anxiety. Notably, these mice had higher levels of corticosterone, a hormone that signals stress, compared to a control group. We observed that administering α-tocopherol (a form of vitamin E) and tocotrienol-rich palm oil extract significantly reduced these mood disturbances over a two-week period.

While both treatments helped alleviate anxiety and depressive behaviors, tocotrienol-rich palm oil extract showed a more pronounced effect, particularly in mice under chronic stress. Additionally, both forms of vitamin E were effective in lowering elevated corticosterone levels, suggesting that they may help modulate the body’s stress response.

Overall, our research supports the potential of vitamin E as a promising treatment for mood disorders associated with menopause, highlighting its role in improving psychological well-being.

We examined the effects of vitamin E on atherosclerosis in the cerebellum of rabbits. In this study, forty rabbits were split into four groups, where specific groups received vitamin E alongside regular diets or added cholesterol.

The results revealed that cholesterol-treated rabbits experienced significant damage, evident through decreased fiber density and changes in brain cell structure. Surprisingly, while vitamin E showed some protective traits by reducing these changes, its overall impact on atherosclerosis was inconclusive.

We explored the relationship between vitamin E and heart attack risk through a two-sample mendelian randomization study. Using genetic variations from nearly 8,000 individuals of European descent, we dug into whether higher levels of vitamin E could protect against coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial infarction (MI).

Contrary to some previous beliefs about its benefits, our results suggested that increased vitamin E levels were actually associated with a higher risk of both CAD and MI. This means it's time to rethink the safety and effectiveness of vitamin E supplements for heart health.

It cleanses the blood of harmful fats, which enhances circulation and ensures good cholesterol remains unoxidised. Vitamin E is vital for reproductive health, delays menopause, alleviates symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, and promotes healthy internal organ function. I take it with omega acids for better absorption, and I've noticed smoother skin. I recommend consulting your doctor for advice.

We tested whether vitamin E could help menopausal women experiencing hot flashes. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 51 women, participants first received placebo for 4 weeks, then vitamin E (400 IU daily) for another 4 weeks, with their hot flashes tracked throughout.

Vitamin E proved significantly more effective than placebo. Women taking vitamin E experienced a notable reduction in hot flash severity and how often they occurred each day. These improvements were statistically significant and suggest vitamin E may be a worthwhile option for women seeking non-hormonal relief from hot flashes.

We investigated the effects of a daily dose of 300 mg vitamin E for treating metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). In our study, 124 non-diabetic individuals were randomly assigned to either vitamin E or a placebo.

The results showed that 29.3% of those on vitamin E had improvements in liver histology, compared to just 14.1% in the placebo group. While we saw significant benefits in liver conditions like steatosis and inflammation, 12 serious adverse events were reported, although they weren’t linked to the treatment.

Overall, our findings indicate that vitamin E may offer meaningful improvements in liver health for those with MASH.

We explored the effectiveness of vitamin E alongside isotretinoin, a common treatment for severe acne. In an investigator-blinded, randomized study involving 82 patients, participants were divided into two groups. One group received isotretinoin alone, while the other combined it with 800 IU of vitamin E, over a period of 16 weeks.

Our main goal was to determine whether vitamin E could reduce the side-effects associated with isotretinoin, which are often bothersome for patients. Throughout the study, we assessed various mucocutaneous side effects, such as facial dryness and redness, as well as changes in serum lipid and liver enzyme levels.

Ultimately, we found no significant difference in the incidence or severity of side effects between the two treatment groups. This indicates that vitamin E did not provide any noticeable benefit when added to isotretinoin therapy for acne vulgaris.

While vitamin E is often suggested as a remedy to lighten the side effects of medications, our findings suggest that its use alongside isotretinoin may not be helpful.

We examined the effects of gamma-tocopherol, a major form of vitamin E, on cancer treatment and prevention. This powerful antioxidant is noted for its ability to combat oxidative stress, which plays a significant role in the development and progression of various cancers.

In several studies, we observed that gamma-tocopherol not only neutralizes harmful reactive oxygen species but also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. These characteristics help reduce chronic inflammation tied to cancer risks. Furthermore, it has shown the potential to inhibit tumor growth, induce cancer cell death, and restrict blood vessel formation that tumors require to grow.

Specifically, findings indicated that gamma-tocopherol is particularly effective in cancers such as prostate, lung, and colon. With promising results from both preclinical and clinical trials, there is a growing interest in how this natural compound can be beneficial in cancer management.

While we noted excellent tolerance at normal doses, it’s essential to consider careful monitoring at higher levels to avoid any adverse effects. Hence, we believe that ongoing research and advancements in drug delivery methods could further enhance its effectiveness.

We explored the effects of vitamin E supplementation on patients with Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome (SLOS), particularly focusing on symptoms like eczema. In a three-year study, six patients who were already on dietary cholesterol treatment received vitamin E. Their vitamin E levels were initially low, but following supplementation, all patients showed a significant increase in plasma vitamin E concentrations.

Among the various symptoms assessed, including aggression, irritability, and skin issues like eczema, some patients reported improvements. Our findings indicated that three out of the six patients experienced a reduction in symptoms, including skin photosensitivity and eczema. Notably, those who responded best to therapy had lower baseline ratios of certain cholesterol-related compounds.

While the study suggests that vitamin E could provide benefits to SLOS patients—possibly contributing to improvements in skin conditions like eczema—individual responses varied. Thus, vitamin E supplementation may be worth considering in the management of SLOS, especially for those with low initial vitamin E levels and certain biochemical markers.

We explored the potential of a specially designed nanoemulsion containing vitamin E to address the symptoms of atopic dermatitis (AD), a chronic skin condition that significantly impacts quality of life. In this study, the formulation, named PV-NE, aimed to balance the immune system and reduce inflammation characterized by the overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are linked to worsening allergic reactions.

Through our research, we noted that while PV-NE demonstrated effectiveness in restoring immune balance and alleviating symptoms like itching and skin irritation, it did not isolate the effects of vitamin E specifically on allergies. Instead, the focus was on how the combination worked as a whole. This means that while vitamin E plays a role in the treatment via the nanoemulsion, we can't conclusively say it effectively treats allergies when considered on its own.

Ultimately, our findings establish a foundation for further exploration of vitamin E's contributions within broader therapeutic systems, indicating its biocompatibility and importance in future treatments for AD and potentially other allergies.

We investigated whether vitamin E could help women suffering from menstrual migraines. In a placebo-controlled trial, 72 participants received either a placebo or vitamin E for two cycles, with symptoms recorded monthly.

The results were noteworthy—vitamin E significantly reduced headache severity and related symptoms compared to the placebo. Women reported improvements in pain intensity and functional disability, showing vitamin E's potential as an effective treatment for menstrual migraines.

We investigated how exposure to ultrafine particles (UFPs) in cold and humid environments impacts respiratory health. Using a controlled study with male Balb/c mice, we found that exposure to carbon black nanoparticles worsened lung function and increased inflammation and oxidative stress.

Notably, the combination of UFPs and cold-humid conditions intensified these adverse effects. However, when we administered Vitamin E, it helped reduce these harmful impacts. This suggests that Vitamin E could be a potential protector against indoor air pollutants, offering insights for healthier living spaces.

I advise against catching a cold. I bought Vitamin E believing it would help me avoid one. Usually, I fall ill with seasonal changes, but this year I fared much better. Since vitamin E is fat-soluble, I must watch for overdose, so I only take one tablet every four days.
