We aimed to understand how Vitamin C could help with the toxicity caused by omeprazole, a common treatment for conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastritis. During our study, we examined gastric cells from rabbits to see how Vitamin C, alongside other antioxidants, could protect these cells from damage caused by omeprazole.

We've been taking NOW vitamin C for some time now (on our second bottle), and she hasn't experienced any heartburn or acid reflux issues from it. In my experience, taking B vitamins, vitamin E, niacin, carnosine, and vitamin C together has a synergistic effect on depression, making it even more effective. For hair loss, combining vitamin E and niacin with vitamin C further lessened the problem. I didn't notice any difference in effectiveness compared to vitamin C without bioflavonoids.

I've heard that excess can cause diarrhoea, but perhaps my body has adjusted since the diarrhoea has ceased. My urine appears yellow; if it doesn't, it's easy to see that I am lacking, making it visually clear. We conducted a fully decentralized clinical trial to explore the effects of vitamin C on constipation symptoms. Participants who experienced functional constipation were randomly assigned to receive either Lactobacillus with vitamin C or vitamin C alone over a two-week treatment period. The study allowed us to gather data remotely, which is quite innovative and accessible.

Looking specifically at the results from the group that received vitamin C, we observed that while there was an increase in the frequency of bowel movements compared to the control group, the isolated effect of vitamin C itself wasn't entirely clear. The combination treatment appeared to improve bowel regularity, but it was difficult to determine how much vitamin C contributed independently to these results.

Additionally, we found that about 67% of participants were diligent in tracking their bowel diary entries, which helped ensure the reliability of our findings to an extent. Yet, a significant portion of the records were not kept as scheduled, highlighting potential hurdles in data collection for decentralized trials.
