Probiotics improve allergy symptoms
We evaluated the effects of a combined probiotic treatment on food allergies in children aged 4 to 5. In our study, 92 children participated, where one group took probiotics containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG for 21 days, while the other group did not.

The children on probiotics experienced significant improvements in skin and gastrointestinal symptoms, including a decrease in bloating. Their IgE levels also dropped notably, suggesting an overall healthier immune response. The control group showed no significant changes.

Bifidobacterium lactis aids IBS bloating
We explored the effectiveness of Bifidobacterium lactis treatments for children suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In a randomized controlled trial involving 71 kids aged 4 to 16, we found that both synbiotics and probiotics significantly reduced bloating and other IBS symptoms compared to prebiotics alone over four weeks.

Notably, synbiotics, which combine probiotics with inulin, led to a higher full recovery rate. Our findings suggest that using synbiotics twice daily may be a promising approach to help relieve IBS symptoms in children.
