α-LA offers liver protection
We investigated whether alpha-lipoic acid (α-LA) could protect mice from hepatitis caused by concanavalin A (Con A). Mice received α-LA prior to Con A injection, with results showing significant reductions in liver damage and inflammation markers. The treatment lowered levels of harmful cytokines and boosted protective antioxidants in the liver. It seems α-LA works by fine-tuning immune responses and minimizing stress within liver cells. Overall, our findings suggest α-LA has a notable protective effect against autoimmune hepatitis, making it a potential option for further research in liver health.

Alpha-lipoic acid and liver function
We investigated the effects of alpha-lipoic acid on liver health in 125 patients with chronic liver diseases caused by viral infections or alcohol.

After administering the treatment, we noticed higher levels of alpha-lipoic acid in the blood, especially in those with liver cirrhosis.

Additionally, the therapy showed promises by boosting ATP content and enhancing the liver's detoxifying ability, although specific improvements for chronic hepatitis weren’t as strongly highlighted.

DL-alpha-lipoic acid shows promise
We examined the effects of DL-alpha-lipoic acid (LA) on acute hepatitis in Long-Evans Cinnamon (LEC) rats, known for their genetic tendency to accumulate copper. Administering LA showed some protective benefits; while it didn't significantly lower liver enzyme levels, it helped with body weight loss and reduced jaundice severity.

Moreover, LA demonstrated antioxidant properties by stabilizing certain liver enzymes and reducing oxidative stress markers. Although it slightly limited copper accumulation in mitochondria, it failed to affect copper levels in the cytosol.

Overall, LA showcases potential as an antioxidant in managing copper-induced liver damage in this model.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a staple in my routine. It aids in hepatitis treatment, especially for hepatitis C! From the start, I noticed its positive impact on patients and my heart’s health—diagnosis of coronary heart disease improved dramatically. My liver feels revitalised! Improvement in thyroid function began within days, hormonal imbalance corrected by day three. It supports kidney health, reducing dark circles and swelling. Initially, taking lipoic acid for neurological issues may amplify symptoms due to nerve fibre recovery. Don't panic; this means the treatment is effective. I monitored its effects on two individuals simultaneously, and the results were fabulous! It may not be immediately apparent externally, but it's working internally. Claims that the drug doesn't work aren't necessarily true. Alpha-lipoic acid is particularly beneficial for those with weak 'Tree' elements in Eastern medicine. I hope my review assists you! Stay healthy and joyful!

Fantastic! Alpha-lipoic acid prevents viral replication, protects the kidneys, and aids in detoxification, particularly beneficial in chronic hepatitis (including hepatitis C), cirrhosis, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It also mitigates chemotherapy's toxic effects while enhancing blood circulation and managing blood sugar levels. Its biochemical properties closely resemble B vitamins, playing a vital role in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. Recommended dosage is 600mg, one hour before morning meals, either in courses or continuously!

Alpha Lipoic Acid is my go-to for liver-related issues, yielding excellent results even for hepatitis! From the onset of treatment, I observed its beneficial impacts on patients. Improvement in thyroid function was noticeable, with hormonal fluctuations stabilising by day three. The kidneys benefit too, with reduced dark circles and swelling. Early stages may heighten neurological symptoms due to nerve recovery, but these signify that the treatment is effective. I monitored two patients concurrently, both showing remarkable results. It's a misconception that this medication doesn't work; many benefits are happening internally. My review aims to be of aid. Wishing you good health and joy!

Alpha lipoic acid in chronic hepatitis
We aimed to understand how alpha lipoic acid, alongside curcumin and silybin phytosome, can help combat chronic hepatitis in a rat model.

Following thioacetamide treatment to induce hepatitis, some rats received daily doses of these supplements, while others did not.

Notably, the treated groups showed a reduction in harmful liver markers, inflammation, and oxidative stress. However, results on alpha lipoic acid's standalone benefits need further evaluation, as its specific impact wasn't highlighted compared to other supplements.

Triple antioxidants improved hepatitis C
We explored a conservative treatment approach for hepatitis C using a combination of alpha-lipoic acid, silymarin, and selenium in three patients suffering from serious liver issues. These antioxidants are known to enhance immune function and reduce liver damage caused by free radicals.

The results showed notable improvements in the patients' health and lab results, allowing them to avoid liver transplantation, a costly and invasive procedure. This successful experience suggests that this low-cost antioxidant regimen may be a beneficial alternative for others facing similar challenges.

We aimed to understand how a unique blend of silymarin, organic selenium, and alpha lipoic acid influences liver damage in patients with chronic liver disease. The study involved 1,718 patients across multiple centers, offering a robust look at treatment outcomes.

Surprisingly, while a significant number of patients showed improvement—25% with mild fatty liver disease recovering completely—alpha lipoic acid's specific role in treatment effectiveness was not highlighted. Overall, the triple antioxidant therapy revealed promising results in improving liver health.

Alpha-lipoic acid shows potential benefit
We explored the effects of alpha-lipoic acid (Berlition) in patients with alcoholic hepatitis (AH) through a study of 61 individuals. Our aim was to investigate how this treatment influences liver health and histological parameters.

Results indicated that incorporating Berlition in combined therapy noticeably reduced fat buildup and inflammation in the liver. We found no significant worsening or improvement in the fibrotic stage of liver disease, highlighting that while alpha-lipoic acid may aid in managing symptoms, it does not dramatically change liver fibrosis status.

Liver enzymes improved

Great for liver health. I believe this, alongside other supplements, has significantly aided my liver enzymes. I have Sjogren's and tested positive for autoimmune hepatitis. After four months of a strict diet that didn’t shift my liver enzymes, I started this, and in a month and a half, my enzymes dropped to the normal range. Thrilled to be able to use this to keep my liver healthy!

EXCELLENT ANTIOXIDANT! This supplement effectively aids in treating hepatitis, including hepatitis C. I noticed its positive impact on patients from the start; coronary artery disease symptoms improved, and my liver felt fantastic. My thyroid function enhanced noticeably. Although initial treatment for neurological issues may worsen symptoms, this is part of the healing process. It’s crucial to use it for heavy metal detoxification as well.

Necessary for recovery

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a must-have for my multiple sclerosis and sensitivity disorders. I've also been encouraged to use it by an endocrinologist for my AIT, particularly to restore liver function after hepatitis C. It's considerably cheaper via Ayherb. I confidently choose Doctor's Best brand. I take 600mg in the morning, ideally 30 minutes before meals, but can take it with food if necessary. Be aware that after the first dose, the urine may have a strong odour. ALA neutralises metal effects, so maintain an interval with iron amendments. Hope my review helps!

Effective after hepatitis
My father takes this on his doctor's advice. He consumes one capsule on an empty stomach daily. It has significantly aided him post-hepatitis.
