We explored the effectiveness of various probiotic strains and combinations in treating bloating related to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This comprehensive analysis included data from 9,253 participants across 81 studies.

While some probiotics showed promise in alleviating abdominal bloating, the results indicated that only specific strains were effective. Among them, noteworthy probiotics included MTCC 5856 and CNCM I-3856.

Overall, the findings highlight that while probiotics can help some IBS symptoms, not all are effective for bloating, calling for more research to better understand these treatments.
