We aimed to investigate how Materna, a multivitamin formula containing 21 essential vitamins and minerals, impacts anemia in pregnant women. In this study, 46 patients were divided into three groups based on when they began taking these supplements during their pregnancies.

By measuring hemoglobin, hematocrit, and serum iron levels before, during, and after the supplementation, we noted improvements in patients' subjective feelings and effective iron prophylaxis. However, consistent and prolonged use of Materna is crucial for achieving the best results across all pregnancies.

I’ve heard that pregnancy can lead to chronic fatigue syndrome due to the depletion of vitamins and minerals. I took these tablets throughout my pregnancy and afterwards, feeling like a superwoman. I didn't experience exhaustion, severe hair loss, or stretch marks. My teeth remained healthy, and blood tests showed no deficiencies, so I will definitely consider these again for my next pregnancy.

We explored whether stopping iron-containing prenatal multivitamins could alleviate nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. In a study involving 97 women seeking help for severe nausea, we discovered that two-thirds reported an improvement after switching to alternatives like folic acid or children's vitamins.

This significant finding, backed by both qualitative and quantitative measures, shows that avoiding iron supplements in early pregnancy may be beneficial for many women struggling with nausea.

This prenatal vitamin is excellent, with no side effects for me. I appreciate the vegetable and fruit-sourced composition. I have allergies to soy and milk and have struggled to find a suitable vitamin that doesn't require multiple capsules daily. I'm very pleased and will continue taking it throughout my pregnancy.
