We evaluated the impact of Lactobacillus rhamnosus on psoriasis by conducting a study with 35 patients split into two groups: one received probiotics while the other got a placebo.
After 60 days, we observed that those taking probiotics showed significant improvements in clinical symptoms, reflected in various assessment scores like PASI, BSA, and DLQI.
However, it’s important to note that this improvement was not linked to any decrease in inflammation markers, IL17 and IL23. Overall, we found probiotics to be a promising adjunctive therapy for psoriasis, with minimal side effects reported.
