Probiotics reduce bloating post-surgery
We explored the impact of probiotic supplementation on gastrointestinal issues following Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. In a well-structured trial, participants were divided into a group receiving Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis and another receiving a placebo.

While both groups showed similar rates of small intestine bacterial overgrowth, those taking the probiotics reported significantly less bloating. They experienced some additional gastrointestinal symptoms but overall felt better in terms of bloating.

Ultimately, the probiotics were effective for managing bloating without affecting SIBO development.

The small, easy-to-swallow capsules really work, helping to eliminate bloating. After taking one tablet daily after dinner, I noticed natural regularity and significantly reduced odour and volume, which was surprising.

Cefixime and probiotics enhance bloating relief
We investigated how cefixime and probiotics impact bloating in patients suffering from functional abdominal bloating (FAB). In a study involving 122 diagnosed patients, we compared three treatment groups: one receiving conventional treatment, a second with cefixime, and a third with probiotics.

Those treated with probiotics and cefixime saw notable improvements in their bloating sensations and abdominal distension compared to conventional methods. Interestingly, while symptoms like abdominal pain and bowel changes improved across all groups, the addition of probiotics and cefixime showed enhanced benefits.

Overall, these findings suggest that incorporating probiotics and cefixime may offer significant support for individuals struggling with bloating.

Probiotics reduce pediatric AAD risk
We analyzed data from 23 studies involving nearly 4,000 children to assess how probiotics help prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD).

The results showed that those taking probiotics had an 8% incidence of AAD, compared to 19% in the control group, indicating a significant protective effect.

None of the trials documented serious adverse events from the probiotics, but some participants reported mild side effects like gas or bloating. Overall, probiotics such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus seem helpful in reducing AAD in children after antibiotic use.

This prebiotic is excellent! By the second week, I felt improvements by the third day. I previously faced issues with regularity but now, bowel movements occur 3-5 times a day. This is a good probiotic for women. I take it alongside NOW Foods Candida Support, and I have noticed a significant improvement in my gut health, with reduced bloating and discomfort. While my candida situation is better, it's not yet perfect. I believe consistent use for a couple of months will provide a clear effect.

No significant effect
I bought this due to severe bloating from gas. After taking it alongside peppermint oil for three to four months, I noticed some improvement. However, I won’t repurchase as adjusting my diet proved more effective, and it did not alleviate my constipation significantly.
6
Unsatisfactory results
I experienced severe bloating from gas and took this for four months. It had some effect but was not satisfactory. Adjusting my diet helped more, and it did little for constipation. Although the brand is reliable and the product is easy to consume, I recommend consistent use for better results.

Lactobacillus aids iron therapy tolerance
We examined how Lactobacillus plantarum 299v impacts patients with iron deficiency anemia who were starting oral iron replacement therapy. In our research with 295 participants, those who took the probiotic alongside their iron therapy reported significantly less bloating and other gastrointestinal issues.

This led to better treatment adherence, with fewer individuals stopping their iron therapy early. Additionally, the probiotic users showed improved iron levels and hemoglobin readings after three months. Overall, Lactobacillus proved effective in easing bloating and supporting gastrointestinal comfort during iron treatment.

Probiotics offer selective benefits
We explored the effectiveness of various probiotic strains and mixtures for treating bloating in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Our analysis comprised data from 81 randomized controlled trials, involving 9,253 participants.

While multiple probiotics proved beneficial for specific IBS symptoms, only three strains and two mixtures demonstrated effectiveness in alleviating abdominal bloating.

Notably, while some probiotics showed promise, results varied, indicating that not all strains are equally effective for every symptom. Further investigations are required to strengthen these findings.
