Chronic constipation relief
188 people found this helpful
This product worked for relieving my chronic constipation when nothing else helped. Over the past 2.5 years following gallbladder removal, I struggled to go once a week. After ingesting this in my morning coffee for around eight months, I now go like clockwork. Though I experienced a brief tolerance, adjusting my usage resolved that. This has saved my sanity, possibly my life, from prolonged constipation.

Effective for constipation

I don't need this anymore! I always suffered from terrible constipation, and even with massages or foods that were said to help, I saw no improvement. Since I started drinking this MCT oil, my bowel movements have become smooth as ever. It's tasteless, making it easy to consume. I take 1 tablespoon each morning for my severe constipation, although I wonder if 1 teaspoon would suffice on less troublesome days. Initially, I bought a small bottle, but now I can't live without it, so I opt for large sizes. The packaging is also excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with constipation.

My aunt and I enjoy adding it to our miso soup daily! Without this oil, the soup would taste boring. My aunt, who previously experienced constipation only once a week, now averages 2-3 times weekly. Personally, I’m now going twice a day!

Convenient and effective

I heard about this product from a coworker. If you suffer from constipation, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. I was warned about consuming it during work hours due to possible bathroom visits. Thankfully, I can follow the recommended dose while maintaining my normal routine. This oil keeps me satisfied and has helped address my constipation. I've even lost weight, so I will keep ordering!
Constipation is a common condition characterized by infrequent bowel movements or difficulty passing stools. It is typically defined as having fewer than three bowel movements per week, leading to hard, dry stools that are painful or difficult to expel. This condition can be caused by a variety of factors, including diet, dehydration, lack of physical activity, and certain medications. Stress and lifestyle changes can also contribute, making it essential for individuals to identify the root causes of their constipation for effective relief.
To alleviate constipation, it’s recommended to increase fiber intake by consuming more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes, as well as ensuring adequate hydration throughout the day. Regular exercise can also promote healthy bowel function. If over-the-counter solutions such as fiber supplements or laxatives aren't effective, it's advisable to consult a healthcare provider, as chronic constipation can lead to complications and indicate underlying health issues. Keeping a consistent eating and bathroom schedule can also help regulate bowel movements.
MCT oil is a supplement that has gained popularity in recent years, particularly among those following ketogenic or low-carb diets. MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides, which are a type of fat that is more easily absorbed by the body compared to long-chain triglycerides found in many other dietary fats. MCT oil is typically derived from coconut oil or palm kernel oil and contains a high concentration of these medium-chain fatty acids, including caprylic acid (C8), capric acid (C10), and in some cases, lauric acid (C12).
The benefits of MCT oil include quick energy production, as the body can convert it into ketones, which are readily used as an energy source by the brain and muscles. Additionally, some studies suggest that MCT oil may aid in weight management by promoting a feeling of fullness and increasing metabolic rate. While MCT oil can be a great addition to smoothies, coffee, or salad dressings, it's important to introduce it gradually to your diet to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or supplement regimen.
MCT oil, or medium-chain triglyceride oil, has gained popularity for its various health benefits, including potential digestive improvements. Some users report that MCT oil may help alleviate constipation due to its ability to increase the production of ketones, which can enhance gut motility and promote regular bowel movements. Additionally, MCT oil is a type of fat that can be easily digested and absorbed, potentially aiding in the softer stool consistency necessary for easing constipation.
However, individual responses to MCT oil can vary, and it might not work the same way for everyone. While some may find relief, others might experience gastrointestinal discomfort or changes in bowel habits. If you’re considering MCT oil as a remedy for constipation, it’s best to start with a small amount to assess your body’s response. It's also advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized recommendations, especially if you have underlying health conditions or if constipation persists. Ultimately, staying hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet rich in fiber are also critical components in managing constipation.
Based on user reviews, individuals experience a range of results when taking MCT oil for constipation. Many users report significant improvements in their bowel regularity within a short timeframe. For example, one user noted that since incorporating a tablespoon of MCT oil each morning, their bowel movements have become smooth and regular, suggesting quick results (Read Review). Another reviewer expressed that after decades of struggling, they've found relief and regularity shortly after starting to use the oil (Read Review).
Conversely, some users have reported mixed experiences, indicating that while the oil has helped some ease their constipation, it has little to no effect on others. One reviewer mentioned feeling somewhat more comfortable after a month of use, even if total relief wasn't achieved (Read Review). This suggests that the time it takes to see results can vary greatly and may depend on individual digestive responses and habits. Overall, while many find relief relatively quickly, the results are not universal.
Based on user reviews, many individuals have reported significant improvements in their constipation symptoms after incorporating MCT oil into their daily routines. One user noted experiencing smooth and regular bowel movements for the first time in decades by simply taking a teaspoon each morning (Read Review). Another reviewer shared that their aunt went from experiencing constipation only once a week to averaging 2-3 bowel movements weekly, while they personally achieved twice-daily relief (Read Review). Further adding to the consensus, several others highlighted immediate effects, claiming quicker bowel regularity and comfort after just a few doses (Read Review; Read Review).
Conversely, not every user has found success with MCT oil; some individuals reported minimal to no impact on their constipation symptoms (Read Review; Read Review). While many users experienced positive results relatively quickly, it’s essential to recognize that individual experiences vary, with factors such as dietary habits and original health conditions playing a significant role in the oil's effectiveness.
Based on user reviews, combining MCT oil with other supplements or foods has yielded mixed results in addressing constipation. Several users reported that incorporating MCT oil into meals, such as mixing it with yogurt or adding it to miso soup, helped enhance its effectiveness. For instance, one reviewer shared that when they combined MCT oil with All-Bran and yogurt, they experienced remarkable comfort in their bowel movements, suggesting a synergistic effect between the supplements and the foods consumed (Read Review). Another user noted that their aunt, who was already struggling with constipation, saw significant improvements after regularly adding MCT oil to her miso soup, indicating that combining this supplement with daily meals can enhance digestive benefits (Read Review).
However, some users did not find the same success. A reviewer mentioned using MCT oil alongside Omega-3 supplements and while they continued with the oil, their constipation persisted, implying limited effectiveness in isolation or with certain combinations (Read Review). Additionally, another user who wanted to help their severe constipation noted that despite adding MCT oil to their regimen, they experienced little to no relief, emphasizing that while combinations can be beneficial, results may vary based on individual responses and the specific combinations used (Read Review). Overall, while many users found value in pairing MCT oil with other dietary elements, individual experiences suggest that results can differ widely.
Users report varying doses of MCT oil for alleviating constipation, with many finding success at one teaspoon or one tablespoon per day. For instance, one reviewer mentions that they take a tablespoon each morning for severe constipation and wonder if a teaspoon might suffice on less troublesome days Read Review. Another user, who has struggled with constipation for decades, saw relief using just a teaspoon every morning Read Review. Some users reported that they were able to maintain regular bowel movements with similar doses. For example, one individual indicated successful outcomes with a daily teaspoon added to their coffee Read Review.
However, not all experiences were uniformly positive; some users found MCT oil ineffective for their severe constipation, despite trying various doses Read Review. Another directed focus on adjustments to their routine, finding better results when pairing MCT oil with other foods, such as yogurt and All-Bran Read Review. Overall, while there seems to be a consensus around one teaspoon to one tablespoon being effective, individual results can vary greatly, suggesting that users might need to experiment to discover the best dose for their particular needs.

More comfort achieved

I purchased my first MCT oil after hearing it aids constipation. I chose this one as it seemed to prevent any oil from dripping out. Around two pumps deliver about 1 tablespoon. After a month of use, while my constipation hasn’t completely gone, I certainly feel more comfortable than I did before using it.

This oil is smooth and has no unpleasant scent. Despite trying lots of dietary fibre, I struggled with constipation until I took 10 ml of this for breakfast. Now, I'm able to go smoothly! I keep using it regularly.

I purchased it intending to aid my constipation, but it didn't work at all. Perhaps it's because I suffer from severe constipation. It’s disappointing.

No effect noted
It didn't work for constipation. I bought it because it is supposed to help with constipation, but I'm sorry to say it had no effect. The taste and odour are non-existent, and while I find it easy to drink, measuring a tablespoon is too difficult due to the strong momentum. Even when pushing it slowly, it doesn't come out easily, making it hard to adjust the amount.

I heard about MCT oil being effective for constipation and decided to try this product after seeing many influencers recommend it. While alone it didn’t resolve my long-standing constipation, combining it with All-Bran and yogurt for breakfast created remarkably comfortable bowel movements. This is my second purchase and I've bought a larger size. However, I’m concerned about the steep price increases.

Less effective than expected

The spout needs improvement as it pops up vigorously when used, making it difficult to get used to. When trying to use a spoon to measure, it consistently bounces and spills, so it's easier to pour directly into a cup. I expected it to be more effective for my constipation, but it did not meet my expectations. However, it seems to help when taken with Omega-3, so I'll continue using it for now.

This oil is a staple in my home! I drink about a teaspoon of it in my coffee every morning, and since I started, I haven’t experienced constipation. However, my husband felt empty after his first cup, so those new to it should exercise caution. I also enjoy mixing it with yoghurt.
