We focused on whether antioxidants, specifically a formulation with reduced glutathione, could help individuals with Ménière's syndrome manage dizziness. Patients were split into three groups—those receiving conventional treatment, those in a control group, and those receiving antioxidant therapy.
Our findings showed that the antioxidant treatment group, particularly those with Ménière's syndrome, experienced a notable improvement in symptoms, suggesting that addressing oxidative stress may benefit those suffering from dizziness linked to this condition. More research is expected to further validate these promising results.

Potential new therapy for dizziness
Radical scavengers for Ménière's disease after failure of conventional therapy: a pilot study.
We explored the impact of antioxidants—specifically glutathione—on patients suffering from Ménière's disease (MD) who hadn't found relief from other treatments. In this pilot study, 25 participants received daily doses of rebamipide, vitamin C, and glutathione for at least eight weeks.
Notably, a significant number of patients (21 out of 22) reported improvements in dizziness, while improvements in hearing and tinnitus were also observed in many cases. While the results look promising, further research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of glutathione for dizziness specifically.

I’ve been battling dizziness and my functional doctor recommended adding this supplement to my regimen. Initially, I felt better for four days, but then it began causing even more dizziness. I will not continue taking it despite its potency.

The dizziness and fatigue from the corona vaccine were severe and hindered my work. I heard glutathione helps detox vaccines, so I tried it. After four days of taking it, the sudden dizziness has vanished. It was a relief, as I had to sit down and wait to calm down. I will keep drinking it.

Due to the aftereffects of coronavirus, I was concerned about dizziness and fatigue. Since I started taking this, I feel significantly better. I noticed that if I forget to take it, my physical condition changes. Recently, people at work complimented me on my glossier skin. I will keep taking it, but the capsule is quite large, so be cautious if you struggle with that.
Dizziness is a term that describes a range of sensations, including feelings of lightheadedness, unsteadiness, or a false sense of spinning, often referred to as vertigo. This condition can be caused by various factors, including inner ear problems, dehydration, low blood pressure, or certain medications. While it might feel like a minor annoyance for some, dizziness can be a warning sign of more serious health issues, particularly if it is sudden or accompanied by other symptoms such as headache, vision changes, or difficulty speaking.
For those experiencing occasional dizziness, remedies may include staying hydrated, avoiding sudden movements, and engaging in balance exercises. However, persistent dizziness warrants a consultation with a healthcare provider, as it can signify underlying health concerns like vestibular disorders or neurological conditions. Understanding the root cause of dizziness is crucial for effective management, whether through lifestyle modifications or more involved medical treatments.
L-glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that plays a crucial role in cellular health by protecting cells from oxidative stress and damage caused by free radicals. It is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamine, and glycine. Naturally produced in the body, L-glutathione is found in higher concentrations in the liver, where it aids in detoxification processes, immune system function, and the metabolism of various compounds. As we age or face various environmental stresses, our body's levels of glutathione may decrease, leading to potential health implications.

Recent research suggests that certain antioxidants may hold potential in alleviating symptoms of dizziness, particularly in individuals suffering from Ménière's disease. One study found that participants treated with a formulation including reduced glutathione showed notable improvements in dizziness, indicating that targeting oxidative stress might be beneficial for managing this symptom associated with Ménière's syndrome [1]. Another pilot study reinforced this by reporting that a significant majority of participants taking glutathione along with other antioxidants experienced relief from dizziness after an eight-week regimen [2].
While these findings are promising, it is essential to note that further research is necessary to fully establish the efficacy of these antioxidants specifically for treating dizziness. These studies do suggest a potential link between antioxidant therapy and improved symptoms of dizziness, but as with any supplement or treatment, consulting with a healthcare professional is recommended for personalized advice and the most effective management of symptoms.

I halved the dose as it made me dizzy. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but I experienced dizziness after taking one pill. To avoid waste, I cut it in half and now take that amount, which does not cause dizziness. I feel energised and notice brighter skin the next morning, so I intend to keep using it while avoiding dizziness.
