Thyme impacts cholesterol without anemia improvement
We explored the effects of different thyme types on anemia and cholesterol levels in a study involving Wistar albino rats. The research focused on villagers from the Taurus Mountains who frequently consume thyme, revealing a high prevalence of anemia among them.

The rats were divided into several groups, including those receiving specific thyme extracts and a control group. While the study highlighted different thyme types, including oregano, we found that the primary focus was on the thyme extracts.

Notably, the Thymbra spicata group showed an adverse effect related to anemia, while Origanum onites, despite its inclusion, did not demonstrate a clear beneficial impact on anemia. Our observations indicated that thyme extracts could have a positive effect on cholesterol levels, but there were no significant findings directly linking oregano to improved anemia outcomes.

Caution with dosage
48 people found this helpful
Avoid taking more than the recommended dose, as I believe I experienced liver issues due to it. I mistakenly took three pills and discovered that this dosage robs iron from the body and lowers blood pressure. I had a hypoglycemic attack. Do not exceed one pill, and ensure you are not anemic when taking it, as it may lead to fainting. This is a powerful pill, but be cautious about what you combine with it, as it acts as a blood thinner. I am okay now and my blood pressure has normalised.
