Frequent flare-ups eased
156 people found this helpful
I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for 25 years, experiencing frequent flare-ups that typically required steroids for relief. In recent years, flare-ups have grown more common, but I found that avoiding gluten and dairy helped. Eventually, they returned almost weekly. However, since starting this once a day, there has been significant improvement; I've remained flare-up free for two months now. I can enjoy all the vegetables I like without worrying about soft stools. I've reduced my colitis medication dosage and use this as daily maintenance alongside it. I have never felt so liberated from the bonds of colitis; this stuff truly works.

Boulardii was crucial for managing my activated ulcerative colitis, which Gr8-Dophilus alone couldn't handle. Two years ago, a combination of Boulardii, a gluten-free diet, and other products saved my colon from surgery. Unfortunately, my colon deteriorated again, preventing adequate good bacteria growth. Thankfully, Boulardii worked its magic once again.

Tremendous symptom relief
Brilliant! Along with probiotics, my Ulcerative Colitis symptoms have improved tremendously, and I haven’t needed any prescription medication for a while now. I will keep using these as they have been amazing for me.
Colitis is an inflammatory condition of the colon (large intestine) that can result from various underlying causes, including infections, autoimmune disorders, or ischemia. The symptoms typically include abdominal pain, cramping, diarrhea (which may be bloody), and urgency to have bowel movements. While there are different types of colitis, such as ulcerative colitis and infectious colitis, each has its own specific treatment approaches and implications for long-term health.
Diagnosing colitis often involves a combination of medical history, physical examination, lab tests, and imaging studies. Depending on the cause, treatment may range from medications to reduce inflammation, such as corticosteroids, to dietary changes or more intensive interventions like surgery in severe cases. If you believe you might be experiencing symptoms of colitis, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management plan.
Saccharomyces boulardii is a beneficial yeast strain known for its probiotic properties. Originally isolated from lychee and mangosteen fruit in the 1920s by French microbiologist Henri Boulard, this yeast is widely recognized for its ability to support digestive health. It is commonly used to prevent and treat diarrhea, especially in cases related to antibiotic use or gastrointestinal infections. Saccharomyces boulardii works by helping to maintain the natural balance of good bacteria in the gut, promoting the growth of beneficial microorganisms, and producing substances that inhibit pathogen growth.
In addition to its anti-diarrheal benefits, research suggests that Saccharomyces boulardii may also contribute to other health benefits, including digestive recovery after gastrointestinal illness and potential support for conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). While it is generally regarded as safe for most individuals, those with compromised immune systems or central venous catheters should consult healthcare professionals prior to use.
